The greens suck.
The greens need tons of work. There were several greens where there were patches of missing grass.
The only good thing I can say is those patches kept my ball from rolling off the green. But at the same time it made putting difficult.
gettin better
Back in the spring, I wouldn't have recommended Baywood, the winter had nearly destroyed their greens. All year they have worked hard and the greens are much much better, not perfect but playable. GOOD JOB GUYS.
The course is getting better, the greens are filling back in. Fairways and tees are good. course maint. is good. Enjoyable course to play again.
Good layout!
We haven’t played there in a few months because they lost the greens but returned today and most of them are back and in good condition except for 3/4 that are 75% back. Will go back in a few weeks.
A course in need of some love
The greens are burnt up. I hate to be so blunt, but the winter came in and damaged them and little preparation for the heat finished them off. Don't bother trying to hold a proper putting line on them, get close and pick up. The fairways are in good shape for the most part and the rough is forgiving. I didn't land in any bunkers, but there are some out there, placed sparingly along fairways, and in spots around greens. Trees are only a problem if you make them one, with one tee shot needing to be needled through encroaching pines. Once they get the greens growing right, it will pick back up.
Good course bad greens
Pro shop was good. Played fast. Mowers need to stop cutting grass when you get close to them. Move on to next hole. Greens were bad.
Great day Greens as Bad as it gets
Had great day with good buddy, but GREENS were as bad as they could be.
Awful Greens, Poor Tee Boxes
The course lacked any sort of professionalism, the starter didn’t control the flow of players, half the greens were lacking anything Green on them, and there wasn’t a single green with an even, or reasonable putting surface.
The tee boxes were in bad shape as well.
The fairways were decent, the layout was entertaining, and the fees were cheap, but I wouldn’t play this course again.
Please work on this course and the greens
Greens were bad , hard and kinda burnt and brown patchy
Greens
If you’re expecting to putt here, don’t. The grass is dead and there are weeds poking out everywhere. Gonna be a rough summer for baywood.
Greens are Horrible
The greens are atrocious! If you get a deal under $20 it might be worth it but you won’t be sinking any puts over three feet. Some of the greens were literally dirt an dead brown grass.
Greens need a lot of work
For whatever reason the greens are not coming in, completely burnt like playing in a sandlot. Last year around this time greens were in great conditions!
Early spring
Greens are still dormant, extremely dry and fast. Poe Annua creates some bumpy putting. Fairways still dormant, literally nothing to hit off of. Wait to play late spring or summer; still weeks away from good conditions.
Nope course improves
Green in bad shape think it’s due to the cold weather/ hot weather mix we keep getting played in the fall and it was in great shape.
save your money stay away, course sucks
giving this a 1 star is giving it to much, the tee boxes look like dogs are digging them up, no grass on fairways, the greens are full of Po and goose crap and whatever else is out there, and guess what no grass either. the staff does not seem to care when I brought it to there attention. this course is usually ok, but save your money call before u go
