The Classic Club

It’s been approximately a year since I played the classic club and I was disappointed to see how the course has been maintained. Fairways were dry. There were large spots where there was no grass at all. Pace of play was great greens were fair to average, but again it was just disappointing that they have not attended to the fairways as they should have. Lastly, included in the price of the round is a meal ticket. They have cut corners every way they can with their food. Their tuna amount used to be a great sandwich, but instead, it was happily put together. No accompanying side of french fries either. For the price it’s questionable.

Incredible staff even in high wind conditions. The course played great. Can’t wait to get back there to play again.

This course was expensive and the overall fairways and greens are burned out and brown . The greenskeeper should be fired . For the cost (same as everything at PGA West) it's embarrassing how poor the conditions are . Hundreds of brown spots on the fairways and diseased greens . I would never play here again . I was very disappointed and so were the other 3 people in my group

Felt it was $140-150 range

But it is an amazing property

Really bad conditions; dry patches everywhere on the fairway, fungus on the greens, mud everywhere. Really really disappointing. Save your money and go play Indian Wells or Desert Willow. Won’t be returning.

We played in the morning - the course was in unbelievable shape. Great conditions all around. Staff were very friendly. Just a beautiful day and experience. We went out as a twosome and finished in 3 hours and 30 minutes - though the there were a foursome ahead of us, the pace of play was excellent. I really enjoyed playing at this course and will definitely return. So far, it’s my favourite golf course to play in Palm Springs.

One.of our favorite tracks in Palm Springs. Great layout and practice facility. Be careful if you prepay for your round. Pro shop will not honor the free cart towel and $25 food voucher. That is only available if you pay at the pro shop. Also the replay rate of $90 for same day is bogus. They told us the course was wide open when we arrived at 8:00am and that we could secure a time after we finish the morning round. Checked back at noon and they said no need to book replay time yet. We had lunch and came back 45 minutes later. They said numerous walk in golfers booked times so earliest opening was after 2:00pm. We passed and left very annoyed that they did not hold a spot for us since we asked 3 different times and purposely played early to utilize the replay deal.

These people know how to operate a golf course. Course conditions are exquisite with well placed hazards, not a blade of grass or sand out of place. What sets this apart from all others is the exceptional service, organization, and knowledge of staff. This extends to the restaurant and bar. Treat yourself. But this is not a course for beginners.

Excellent fairways, greens, bunkers, etc. This course requires use of all your clubs and critical iron and shot selection and placement if you want to score well. Enjoyed this course over SilverRock GC, which we played the previous day.

Still a very good golf course but not up to par with the premier courses like it used to be. Lots of dead grass all around the golf course on the edges. Fairways good. Greens decent. Just not as pristine overall as it used be, making it not as good a value for the high green feed.

Love the course, but was way too slow! Waited on every shot, lost focus, no tempo.

Didn’t play the 18th as there were 4 groups on the hole!

Too bad, I’m sure it would be a pleasure to play at a good pace!

I come to the desert once a year and Classic is always on the must play list. Course condition is always top notch and the views are great. Practice facilities are well maintained and staff is very friendly. The lunch voucher allows for a great way to end the day.

Such a wonderful course! Have played here quite a few times and look forward to our next round.
