Blair Park Golf Course
About
Blair Park Golf Course is the one of High Point's two municipally owned courses. It's the older of the two, given as a gift to the city from the descendants of Solomon Blair. Originally constructed as a nine-hole course in 1931, a second nine was added in the late 1940s. Over the years the golf course has hosted many area championships and has become a favorite of local golfers. The golf course has a traditional layout with challenges that have withstood the test of time. Several creeks meander through Blair Park Golf Course, coming into play on more than half of the holes and the bunkering is minimal but strategic. The course is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will enjoy the risk-reward opportunities where you can go for broke, though errant shots will be severely punished.

Good condition, friendly staff, scenic, great value
Blair Park provides an excellent golf experience.
Value, combined with staff friendliness, goes a long way to consistently make Blair Park a "regular" on my rotation of local courses.
Chip, The Assistant Pro, is always helpful, friendly, and professional.
Blair Park offers challenge, starting out with two par 5's.
Course condition has improved. Greens are slow, so an adjustment from playing faster putting surfaces.
Scenery on holes 12-14 is outstanding.
Pro shop is well-stocked. I purchased 4 dozen golf balls at a reasonable price. This should last into 2021.
I definitely recommend Blair Park for a "nothing fancy" pure golf experience.
Great Course For The Price
I enjoy playing Blair Park. There is not too much trouble on the course but there are some holes that I can't seem to play well. Those holes keep me coming back.
Course is great for the price.
Honestly they could even charge more. Only downside (not their fault) is the course runs through a rough neighborhood. So you might have to wait to hit a shot or two while randoms walk all over the course. Lol. But the course is great. I shot my season low today from the championship tees. Great staff. I left my wallet in the golf shop and they looked me up and called me to notify me. They have a ranger out in which we saw 3 different times. It was rainy today so he was still out keeping pace of play up. Super intendient and staff thumbs up!
Fine course, bad staff
Course is fine for the price you pay but when I went it was horribly ran. They let a group of six go in our tee time and so we were going to start on the back before they sent a ranger to tell us we couldn’t. Which would have been fine but then the manager or whatever came out to and was just belligerently condescending telling us to listen to what he said and to NEVER go off the back. He wouldn’t even hear about why we were (because he and his staff were negligent in allowing just anyone to go off of their first tee). Anyway, play the course, avoid the management. (The people in the grill room however were lovely)
Book EARLY tee time
First time playing this course. So, I have no idea if it's always as slow as it was. Plan to be there a tad bit longer than your normal round. Other than that, this is a nice place to play!
Can't wait to play again.
What a great day with my son at one of the most wonderful municipal golf course I've played in a long time. Love the three Par 5's on the front. You either go norty or south. Back nine was somewhat challenging due to the layout. My bot found it very accommodating to his level.of play, which left a smile on my face.
Thanks for the great day
Pave of Play - 1 Star - Extremely Slow
Pace of Play was Extremely SLOW. Also, the greens were a little slow, but I appreciate the course trying to keep the greens healthy. However, the ball marks on the green were really bad. It is disappointing when players don't take care of the greens.
