Blair Park Golf Course
About
Blair Park Golf Course is the one of High Point's two municipally owned courses. It's the older of the two, given as a gift to the city from the descendants of Solomon Blair. Originally constructed as a nine-hole course in 1931, a second nine was added in the late 1940s. Over the years the golf course has hosted many area championships and has become a favorite of local golfers. The golf course has a traditional layout with challenges that have withstood the test of time. Several creeks meander through Blair Park Golf Course, coming into play on more than half of the holes and the bunkering is minimal but strategic. The course is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will enjoy the risk-reward opportunities where you can go for broke, though errant shots will be severely punished.

Great value and staff, fair course conditions
Blair Park is always a great value.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have done a great job keeping everyone safe and healthy with new precautions due to the recent Corona Virus outbreak.
Possibly due to recent rain, the fairways were not cut well. Lost a few balls in the fairways due to spotty conditions.
Blair Park was in excellent shape the previous round I played there.
Overall, a great golf experience. Because of the friendly staff and great value, I highly recommend playing this course.
Dangerous
I hate to do this because I have enjoyed playing this course for the most part but I feel like I need to share my story from today. I've played this course twice this week, once on Wednesday with a friend and again today(May 9) with my father. On Wednesday my friend and I were getting ready to tee off on number 17 and heard 9-10 gun shots coming from across the street. Definitely spooked us a little bit but I figured this is High Point and stuff like that happens all the time. Today however is when things got kind of crazy. My dad and I were on the tee box on the number 16 hole when 3 kids on the bikes began to ride by yelling profanity at us for not reason. The kids were all probably around 15 years old. After my father and I teed off we rode down and started looking for our balls. As we were looking for our balls we started hearing things falling around us so we turned around and these kids have rode their bikes onto the course and we're throwing rocks at me and my father. then I look back towards our cart and one of the kids is over there trying to get stuff out of our cart. That's when I chase after the kid close to the cart and they finally drive off on their bikes yelling and cussing the whole way. Now I know that the golf course cannot be completely responsible for the actions of a few dumb kids but when I told the person at the pro shop what had happened and told them they probably needed to put a ranger out there at 16 or at least close the gates to the golf course, instead he just told me that there are no rangers right now because of the Coronavirus and all their rangers are over the age of 65. This did not seem like an adequate response to the situation. I understand that the coronavirus may have you short-staffed but you shouldn't be short-staffed so bad that you couldn't send somebody who's under 65 over there to watch that part of the course order at least close the gates so that kids can't get onto the course. Sadly after this experience I will no longer be taking my business to Blair Park golf course. I hate it because I've already played there 10 times this year and I've really enjoyed the conditions of the course but can no longer go there and feel safe.

Winter golf is still playing thru @ 60 deg. . Grass is starting to come up. Played as a single , recreational golf to enjoy be outside not cooped-up. Made a couple of pars and 1 birdie. Working on tempo and shot making. A good day all around.
Good Course
The course was in great shape cobsiderubg the monsoon season that we were coming out of. Not suoer challenging but a great casual play course. We will be back!
good conditions, friendly staff, great value
Blair Park was in good condition.
The staff, including Rachel and Daniel, is always friendly.
My two playing partners were nice.
Perfect day to play.
I highly recommend Blair Park .
Excellent greens, friendly staff, great value & pace of play
Blair Park's staff, including Assistant Pro Chip, are always friendly, helpful, and professional.
Course Conditions were excellent-tees and greens very nice. The greens were the best since I've been playing Blair Park. Course was muddy due to a lot of rain this winter. Cart paths only, as most local courses have been. But overall conditions were terrific.
Great value at $20 total on Golf Now. I would highly recommend Blair Park for value, scenery, challenge, conditions, staff, and overall excellent golf experience.
Nice pro shop too with good prices. Will have to check out the shirts at a later date.
Great touch is the yardage book. Get one to navigate the challenges of Blair Park. It is very helpful for placement, especially for a shorter hitter-ME!
I thoroughly enjoyed my round yesterday at Blair Park!
Great Municipal Course
I was in town for work and only had a few hours to play, so I looked for courses in the area offering 9-holes at a reasonable price. Blair was very reasonably priced, especially since it included a cart rental. The course as a whole was nicely maintained, I did notice 1 or 2 greens that had some repair work done and this did come into play on one hole. The fairways were good, rough and 2nd cut was well kept and the tee boxes were good overall too. For the money, the convenience to the highway, the friendly staff and my overall experience, I was very happy I choose Blair Park on my way out of town!
Enjoyed playing Blair Park
This was my first time playing at Blair Park. The course was in condition except for a couple of tee boxes and maybe one or two greens. Course had a couple or short par 4s, and challenging par 3s. We had a good time and I will be back again.
Decent Course
The course conditions are great, and most holes are challenging and plays to both skilled shots and beginners. There’s a nice practice area to warm up with a net and free balls. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, marshals kept up the pace of play very well.
My only criticism is on more than one occasion, locals would wander onto the course. Several times I had to wait for someone to clear away before I could hit a shot. Otherwise, it’s a fun course and a good value.
