Blair Park Golf Course
About
Blair Park Golf Course is the one of High Point's two municipally owned courses. It's the older of the two, given as a gift to the city from the descendants of Solomon Blair. Originally constructed as a nine-hole course in 1931, a second nine was added in the late 1940s. Over the years the golf course has hosted many area championships and has become a favorite of local golfers. The golf course has a traditional layout with challenges that have withstood the test of time. Several creeks meander through Blair Park Golf Course, coming into play on more than half of the holes and the bunkering is minimal but strategic. The course is player friendly enough for beginners but low handicappers will enjoy the risk-reward opportunities where you can go for broke, though errant shots will be severely punished.

Blair Park on a wonderful day
The course was nice the weather was great even though I did not play as good as I usually do it was a great afternoon.
Great Greens.
The course is in the best shape I have seen it. I enjoyed every minute. Can't wait to play there again, next week.
Love it
Its became one of our favorite course! Also, the pro shop has a lot of good deals on like gloves an things! My boyfriend Boine and I really enjoy this course!
Wide open
Pretty straight forward course, nice and open. The only thing I don't like are the par 3s, they are too long.
Great golf value
Nice variety of interesting holes. Sand traps in great shape as are the greens.
Two people can play 18 in under 3 1/2 hours.
Good for the value
This course is good for what you pay. $30 for a weekend morning round for a course thats in decent shape. The fairways and tees were mown, there were some chewed up spots on the tees, and the greens were ok. They were a little bumpy but mainly because being a muni I guess no one fixes their ball marks. Most greens are rather small, and its pretty open. As an earlier review mentions the front 9 is a slicers paradise (or hook for a lefty). I hook the ball generally and had several well struck shots find their way out of play. There are a few holes were you cant hit driver off the tee and some local knowledge of the course would help. For the most part though its a fun course without a whole lot of hazards to have to play through. If you are looking for a decent course at a good price this is a good place for you. If you are looking for Augusta National, not so much.
Fun course
I walked 18 holes here on a recent Monday, playing the front with two others and the back alone. The area has received lots of rain currently, and this course remains wet long after the rain since it is situated in a low spot (especially the front). That being said, the conditions on fairways and greens were surprisingly good.
The front nine goes out and back under the power wire field and is perfect for those who slice the ball (righties). If you hook, play up a tee and punch down the fairway if you're looking to score well.
Back 9 is different, a little hilly, and beautiful at times, especially #10, 13, 14 and 18. 13 and 14 are the best holes on the course and can make you feel away from it all. 18 would be another fave if they would trim the trees above/in front of the back tees that force you to hit a needle-straight long iron off the tee, but I guess that's part of this muni's charm. It's accessible, cheap, and a bit of a challenge off the back without being very long.
Great Round
The weather was perfect except for just a little windy at times. The greens were the best I have seen them in years.
Good value for a good experience
Dormant fairways and grainy greens, but a pleasant experience for February golf. Very friendly staff and helpful cafe staff, with tasty , value priced lunch.
Value
Excellent value for a course that is in great shape especially the greens.
Bad park ranger..
The Ranger working at this course. Was not professional .He was not. Listening to what. Paying customers had to say and was really rude to customers had to say, he jas no professional. Probably would not play that course again unless he is not there.:-(
In terrible shape
This course is one of two municipal courses in High Point, North Carolina with Oak Hollow being the second one. Oak Hollow is always well taken care of while the city neglects Blair Park. If Blair was maintained well it would be a decent little course with great value. Unfortunately this is not the case
Fun course
The course is long and challenging, reticulate for the ladies! But once you figure out which club do use it is a lot of fun! I played well and intend to return to play again!
Good layout, needs maintenance
Good value . Greens were slow and bumpy. Nice layout. Rough and fairways need to be mowed.
