About
River Ridge Golf Club is one of the finest public golf courses in Raleigh. The course sprawls across 100 acres in the heart of the Triangle, it's an easy 15-minute drive from downtown Raleigh. The lush green of the course contrasts beautifully with the Carolina blue skies. Mature trees frame most of the holes and there are a few lakes that come into play. The rolling terrain provides plenty of ups and downs throughout the golf course. Accuracy will be generously rewarded but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course's signature hole is the par-4 fifth, a 375-yard hole that can be conquered with smart play. Try to keep your long iron or fairway wood to the right of the fairway, which will give you a short iron approach into the green.

Nice
Hadn't played here in 7 - 8 years but it didn't disappoint. It was in solid condition and I forgot how undulating the greens were and how difficult they are to putt if you're in the wrong spot. A fun day nevertheless.

Close to Raleigh Gem
Found the course and in particular the greens to be in great shape for the time of year. Starting staff and pro shop staff were very friendly and helpful for our first time foursome. The course is a set up to be a good challenge for the range of golfers. The course terrain was more interesting than evident as you drive into the parking lot. Pace of play was fine for us on a Sunday morning.

The course and clubhuse are well maintained
Course was in great shape for November. Pro shop and starter were all friendly and professional. River Ridge overall is well maintained facility with a challenging layout.
Adding a restroom somewhere on the course would be a nice touch.

Great condition, still very green
The course was in great condition for this time of year. It was still very, very green through the fairways and greens. There were a lot of leaves on the greens that made putting difficult, but the grounds crew was in the process of blowing them off some holes. GPS carts and free range balls were great perks.

Great course, friendly staff.
I love this course. It is very challenging for me because its all hilly and the greens are fast and also not flat but I will go there again and again.
Course amenities missing are drinking water on the course.

Very nice layout
This is a very good course in good condition and excellent value for the money. The greens roll very well and are in good shape. The Teebox could use some additional work but the fairways are very nice. It is a very enjoyable course to play.

1st Time, not last time
Played yesterday. Course was in great condition. Staff very friendly. Free practice balls were a nice touch. Course is in great shape. Greens are large, undulating, & FAST. I will definitely play again

Great course
The greens are to be respected. Speed of your putting ball placement coming in the green are key . Conditions were consistent, this is a course that you cannot complain about
