About
River Ridge Golf Club is one of the finest public golf courses in Raleigh. The course sprawls across 100 acres in the heart of the Triangle, it's an easy 15-minute drive from downtown Raleigh. The lush green of the course contrasts beautifully with the Carolina blue skies. Mature trees frame most of the holes and there are a few lakes that come into play. The rolling terrain provides plenty of ups and downs throughout the golf course. Accuracy will be generously rewarded but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course's signature hole is the par-4 fifth, a 375-yard hole that can be conquered with smart play. Try to keep your long iron or fairway wood to the right of the fairway, which will give you a short iron approach into the green.

Range balls included. Nice putting green and chipping green with bunker. Course very well maintained. Definitely coming back.

Heat Wave
Played during the Heat Wave of 2022. Fortunately, got a very early tee time, so it wasn't too bad until the last hour.
Course layout is fantastic.
They had jus aerated the greens, so putting wasn't particularly good. but, you could tell that the greens would be really nice once the aeration is complete. Lot's of slopes to the greens.

Greens just aerated 7/20
Fun course. Weekday are better as pace of play on weekends is slow. Greens are normally fast but they were just aerated. Great practice facility, grass tee no matts

Good Condition, Tough Greens
Course is in good shape. Pace of play is just a little slow, I wish walking here wasn't allowed during peak morning hours. Pins were in tough positions, often times on slopes, quite challenging.

Great course, fast greens
This is an attractive and well-maintained course with a variety of vistas. The fairways were wide enough that I didn't lose too many balls. The greens tend to be highly angled and quite fast. The practice area includes a driving range, separate chipping and putting greens, and a sand trap.

Nice course
Great value. Price included free range balls and bottled water on the course. The layout was somewhat challenging so we played the whites which made it quite enjoyable.

Great Course!
Course was in great shape…challenging layout with rolling hills and elevations. Can’t wait to play it again.
Fun but Long Round
Great course but played on Sunday afternoon and took us 5 hours to play 18 holes. Course is in great shape and greens are fast. A lot of tough pin placements that slowed play down (don’t get yourself above hole). Overall 9/10. Will be playing again just maybe at better time.
