About
River Ridge Golf Club is one of the finest public golf courses in Raleigh. The course sprawls across 100 acres in the heart of the Triangle, it's an easy 15-minute drive from downtown Raleigh. The lush green of the course contrasts beautifully with the Carolina blue skies. Mature trees frame most of the holes and there are a few lakes that come into play. The rolling terrain provides plenty of ups and downs throughout the golf course. Accuracy will be generously rewarded but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper. The course's signature hole is the par-4 fifth, a 375-yard hole that can be conquered with smart play. Try to keep your long iron or fairway wood to the right of the fairway, which will give you a short iron approach into the green.

Always slow
Inept starter that has no idea what’s going on around him on top being short with everyone. Friendly staff outside of that. Need a ranger bad as it always gets backed up. Would be much more valuable than the pointless starter. Solid course and greens in good condition.
Greens need work
River Ridge is a great track and usually has really great greens however right now they need a little work. I know it’s a tough time of year for Bermuda greens but I have seen some courses do a little better. I can’t wait for warm weather .

Twilight Golf--What a great Value
I have recently taken up golf after a 12 year hiatus and it was wonderful to get out there late in the day where one price gets you as much golf as you can work in before sunset. With no one in front and no one behind, this solo duffer loved being able to play 2 balls or take mulligans.
I have played many other local courses in the past and this one is by far the most scenic but not easy.
I'm not sure I'll ever read these greens right. They roll true but the shortcoming is mine.
I love the course and the staff. Well Done!

Good Conditions for Winter
Bermuda greens are rolling true and quick. Rest of the course in good condition for winter play.....spongy around the greens but nice to get out of the house and play some golf in Feb. Threesome ahead of us was playing at a brutally slow pace....2 1/2 hrs for the back 9.

Always a good time.
The course was in great shape as usual and enjoyed my round very much.
The only negative was the smoke from debris pile that was burning late in the round. The fact that course was going to be closed for days due to the weather makes me think that it would have been better to do that later.

Good course
Enjoyed playing the course. Hooked up with another golfer on the 3rd hole and we had a good time playing together.

Had a fun time. Put me with another single who was great to play with
Super hard pin placements
A few pin placements coupled with fast greens created unfair unrealistic putting. A few times putting up hill the ball stopped for 1 second about 1-3 inches from hole and rolled 4-9 feet back down
