Reviews
Great course
Great place. Fairways are narrow and many doglegs but fun course. Wish it was closer to play it more often.
Very good course for the money spent.
The clubhouse was pretty simple and outdated; however, the golf course was in great shape and we enjoyed the course very much. Will play here again, great value for the money.
Nice hilly old style course without houses.
My first time at CC of JC...I was pleasantly surprised. I love these old courses that were built for golf and not for selling real estate. Tees and fairways had good thick bermuda grass and it was well mowed...as was the rough. The greens are bermuda and were kept a bit faster than most bermuda greens I've played recently....which is a plus for me. Course is hilly with quite a number of doglegs going both right and left. The par 5's were a bit short by today's standards, but were very tight with large overgrown trees narrowing the fairways. The par 3's made up for the short par 5's though.
I went as a single and was paired up with another single, no problem. I enjoyed the course very much and will go back soon.
this course would appear easier than it is. It is a fun design
It is fun. It is challenging,in good shape. The pace of play is fast and the atmosphere is relaxed. Overall I keep going back for the course and the value
Very Nice Surprise
Booked due to low cost as my son had not played in a while but was very pleased with the course. Nice variety on hole with presentation and elevation changes. I look forward to playing again in the future.
A hidden gem
The course is a moderate challenge, particularly the par 3s from the White tees. Many doglegs and nice greens. Recommend it.
Course is always in great shape, and deceptively tough.
My one problem with this course, is that they allow fivesomes, and there always seem to be a one or two groups of five ahead of us. Usually, the greens are fast, but they were very slow this time.
Some of the best greens in the Raleigh area
This is a small operation, but one that really knows how to take care of their greens. From the 1st to the 18th, they were all in excellent shape. I never had to worry about putting through any junk to get to the hole. The only other course that I can say I have played where the greens are as good is Raleigh Country Club, which is a huge compliment to thus course.
The only reason I rated this course a 4 instead of a 5 is the inconsistent rough around the fairways. That was the only thing keeping me from saying this course was pristine. I will definitely play this course again.
Greens are difficult to putt.
The golf course was in nice shape from tee to green. The greens are old style bermuda and are grainy. It is hard to determine with or into the grain putts. Not that it's bad, but it does take some getting used to. Enjoyed the course for the money.
Very Nice

Really looking forward to my next round there.
Great value
Good. Great price on golf now, not crowded, and able to play at a good pace. Greens were soft and in great condition.
Bad. Mowers leave clumps of grass, maybe they had not blown the grass off yet. The sand traps were not in good shape. Several had standing water in them.
Excellent course!
Great conditioned course for a great price. Every hole was in great condition, and was challenging all the way through. My only complaint would be about the bugs, but that's just about anywhere in the heat.
Great course for the novice golfer.
The overall maintainence of the course was very good. The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the round of golf and would definitely recommend this course.
Great course layout
Greens and fairways were great. The sand in bunkers not so great, but probably due to the excessive rains lately.
Hidden Gem!
Really enjoyed this course. Puts an emphasis on shaping your shot which I really liked. Greens were in great shape. Will definitely play again! Very convient as well...right off of I95.
nice course not great
nice course friendly staff we had 2 golfers let us play through
Fairways need attention.
Formerly a private country club, now available for public play. Nice layout. Moderate elevation changes. Large greens with moderate undulation.
Good condition for playing areas. Other areas needed attention.
Fairways and greens were nice. Greens were slower than we would have liked. We played late morning on a Friday. Nobody in front of us and we let a twosome play through.
the course was really in great shape.
the course is challenging but is also fun to play you will have a great time if you play this course.
Well maintained course. The staff person on did not offer information about the facility including where #1 was located.
Loved the course it was well maintained and even though it was busy everyone stayed on pace.
