Not for high handicap
Pretty course
It was very frustrating playing
If you aren’t center of the fairway the trees lean over and knock your ball. If your just off the fairway your in Sandy pine needles which are not easy to play out of. Sand traps are like clay and nasty to play out of, thankfully I was only in them a couple times.
The staff was greet the course was well groomed. The fairways are tight and narrow.
If you hit straight you’ll enjoy this course.
interesting and player friendly
with numerous courses available in the area we never miss playing Sandpiper Bay.
Solid
Came here with 10 golfers on beach vacation. Have played here many times. Played it first year it was open 30+ years ago. Booked a few days before. Staff friendly. Greens good. Fairways and tees solid. Pace of play good. Good course for all handicap levels. Never disappoints. Will continue coming.
A Fine Layout
Greens in very good shape. First 9 was a little slow due to groups but back 9 went fine as many of them stopped. Nice staff Played Sand, then Piper.
Great Bargain
First time playing course. Great bargain for $38/pp. course in great shape and nice layout. Will definitely play again.
Nice Venue
Liked the course, staff, cart girl, everything else was just as good. Nice lunch after the round as well!!
Awesome staff ...
Played at sea trail a few days before and difference in attitude was night and day. Sandpiper staff were so welcoming and helpful. Everyone made you feel like an invited guest.
Awesome staff to match the facilities.
Slow play
We had the first tee time on the sand course and played it in an hour and a half. When we got to the piper course we got placed behind five other groups. We asked why, the starter said they had a group of 24 that did not show up on time so they had to wait. We said that’s not our problem, that’s their problem. Unfortunately it was our problem. I will not be going back.
Sand Piper
Nice course played fast, overall a nice day at a nice course. They had just aerated the greens so putting was tricky.
ONE OF MY FAVES
Sandpiper Bay is one of my favorite courses in the Brunswick - Myrtle Beach area. Course is always in great shape. The staff is very friendly. Terry and Bob are the best starters in the business! The clubhouse amenities are top-night. I play there every opportunity I get.
