Extremely slow play
No rover to hurry slower groups. Waited on almost every shot. Other than that, an enjoyable day.
This course used to be a really good course.
The money hasn't been put into keeping the course up. It is a shame.

Great place
The staff was great! Dan Maples course was closed. We played the Jones course which was in great condition. Fairways green and the greens were in excellent condition. I will play there again!

Great Value, Great Turn-Around
In 2016 I reviewed this course as "Stay Away." It has turned around remarkably. Having a great admiration for Maples designed course,.I am very excited about the turn-around here. The fairways are very lush and give you a great lie. The greens are a little soft but roll very well. The traps are well maintained to include the waste bunkers.
I played the "whites" at just 5900 yards. The rating/Slope is 69.7/127. There are plenty of challenges with many forced carries. There are at least 8 holes that water comes into play, and the views and angles make this a fun and challenging track..
Pace of play is great and they currently single tee Maples, a rarity for the Myrtle Beach area. This course also drains very well, so they seldom play cart path only. I give it a five star value rating, and should be a strong 3.5 star in conditions. I always rate courses with housing lower and the cart paths will defiantly rattle your around. Give it a whirl, I plan to play it much more now that it is back in shape.

Father and son outing
Got in 7 holes before the Heavens Dropped the Lakes upon us. Course was in Superb shape, first 7 Greens rolled great and stuck beautiful. Beautiful scenic views. Got a 9 hole rain check can't wait to go back in July on our next Father and son outing.
Staff was extremely professional and personal and very nice.

Sea Trail Maples
I played the blue tees and being a 14 handicap was perfect for my game. Great layout and very scenic golf course. Requires thought as a driver is not the club on some of the shorter par 4’s. Greens were in good condition but a tad slow.
While the cart paths are rough and the traps had not been raked, it was still a great experience and I will play there again.

Great value for the Money
First time playing this course. Have played the Jones course last year. Terrific value via GolfNow. Played a different course last week in the area and it was in terrible shape, bad bunkers, so-so layour. The Maples course had a fair layout. Many short holes, but a few long ones to test you. Greens in good shape, slower than we are used to, but fair. The size of the greens were also small.
It's a nice course, staff was good. Biggest issue was a few holes the trees came into play too much. But will come back again.,

Deathly slow!
We were sent out earlier than our T time which was great. Starter mentioned a twosome in front of us but did not mention the 2 foursomes in front of them!
We’ve played a lot of golf and our front nine was by far the slowest we’ve EVER played. From the 3rd hole til we finally finished the front 9 we had waited a good 10 minutes on each hole. Two groups behind us did leave the course!!
Our front nine took us at least 3 hours. Luckily these groups only played 9 and we were able to complete our back in the normal wait time.
It would have been nice to have seen a marshal out keeping the lace going and hurrying these folks along.

Course was in good shape. Rough was a little deep. Challenging but fun to play.

Nice
This is a nice and fun course. A few holes that you have to get a good shot to get over water. Tee off areas and greens are super. Front counter guy was rather blunt. Starter guy was great.

great value
fairly easy course, but good conditions and great value for the money

What can you say...
Course was is bad shape.. greens were good but speed varried greatly .. very friendly people... but bottom line is I paid $20 for a 10:30 tee time.. layout is good if in better shape good course overall...

Course good on tee boxes & greens- fairways thin & not good shape. Front 9 much better than back 9.Played years ago & it was in terrific shape.
Great bang for the buck !!!!!
The staff here were all so friendly, the grounds were in very good shape as well. We purchased the deal of the day with a 2 p.m. tee time and besides one other two some on the course we were the only ones out there playing !!! Which was great for us !!! NO PRESSURE !!!
Good golf fallen into disrepair.
Use to be a good golf course, but everything except the greens has fallen into disrepair. Grass on the fairways were very thin. Could see the earth below. Lots of crab grass tuffs which sometime you needed to place your ball on in order to take a shot. Looked like the bunkers hadn’t been worked on in weeks. Cart paths are almost at the point of being dangerous due to lack of repair. It’s a shame to see a course like this not being taken care of.
Poor Course Conditions
Tees were long, fairways devoid of grass. Had to roll the ball onto tufts of crabgrass. Greens ran true. Would not recommend until grass grows.
Very sorry to see how it has deteriorated
A great course that has continued to decline each year. Greens were in good condition except covered in maple keys. Fairways were badly damaged. Some t boxes were ok. Cart path a mess. One plus that as there was noone on the course we had a 3 hour round
Nice Track
Mutiple challanges make it a fun course. Greens were in great shape. Fairways had some really wet spots. Staff was friendly and helpful.
