Slow pace of play
Tee time was 12:57 and did not tee off until 1:15. We were a group of 4 solo players. The group in front of us was a 5 some and the group in front of them was a 4 some of newbies. So pace of play was horrible. 3 hours for the front 9 and left after that.
Nice Course
Challenging and fun course, but pace of play was slow–took about 4 1/2 hours. Long round considering we started at 6:30am. Course was in decent condition, but had some rough fairways on a few holes. The greens were well maintained and fast, and nice powder in the bunkers. I'll definitely play it again...
Nice Staff, drought impact minor
Fairways better than expected, but patrons not fixing ball marks and this is hurting the truing of the greens. Staff was very helpful in getting us out.
Great course, a bit overpriced
Fairways and greens could’ve used a bit more TLC. For the price of the tee time, you’d expect a bit more consistent quality on the course. Not to take away from the quality of the course, which I believe is a very nice mid-level par 71. The experience is great, the course is fun to play, but I wouldn’t play it again for the price point they’ve currently got.
Course has lowered in wuakity
I’ve played at Santa Anita GC around 10 years ago, and it was an excellent course. Sadly after this time the course has degraded to a terrible condition. The greens were fair, but 40% of the fairway was just dirt and sand. I would not recommend this course anymore.
Horrible Condition
I played here a couple weeks before this round and I was utterly shocked how they let the course go in just that short a time.. the course right now is mostly dirt ..your lucky if your drives land in at least yellow grass.. I love this track but I’d suggest playing else where till they get the course in better playing conditions..especially for how much they are charging
Good course for price
Fun course great value friendly staff needs some TLC on course but greens were maintained well
Like playing from dead fairways?
A very beat up course. Dried out. Patches of green grass far from each other, if there was any at all on the fairways. I am upset I paid $55 for a course in this condition. The main greens that you get are tee boxes.
This course has declined a lot since I first played it.
Played this course 2 days ago. I can't believe that its fairways have more and more bare spots. Now, the course is increasing its greens fees by $1. This course needs a makeover with its fairways. Probably it has to do the same thing Diamond Bar is trying to do.
Drought affected
Unfortunately, like all other CA courses , this course isn’t as nice as it used to be. Many bare spots on the fairway making it difficult to strike effectively with a lot of “hard pan lies”.
I held a club tournament here last year (post Covid) and the course was in much better conditions then.
Nonetheless,.i like the layout of the course and would play it again.
