Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club is situated in Calabash, N.C. a scenic fishing village. The mature woodland landscape provides a secluded and relaxing setting that is ideal for a round of golf. Though it may be peaceful, you still have to be on your toes with plenty of water hazards and sand traps lurking throughout this traditional layout. Mature trees line the fairways, requiring even further accuracy. The golf course is known for its natural crater lakes, which make an appearance on several holes. It is a course that rewards strategy and skill over brute strength. The holes will make you think, but overall Carolina Shores is a forgiving golf course that is playable for all skill levels, especially with five sets of tees ranging from 6,085 yards to a lengthy 6,755 yards.

Most ill maintained golf course
This course is the worst 18 hole golf course I have ever played. This course is almost deserted course. All weeds and no grass to me. I will not play this course even for free.
Need lots of attention
Friendly staff, nice layout. Everything need to be upgraded on the course. Greens are sand spotty, very little grass. Same for fairways and tees. Nice layout. Would not ever play again.

Le pire terrain joué dans les 20 dernières années. Un champ de patates. Il y avait une personne qui s’occupait des départs, du bar et resto et lavait les voiturettes à la fin de la partie. 3 autos dans le stationnement à la fin de notre parcours.

Fine Value
Course needs some help, especially the greens. 3 1/2 hour round for myself and my wife. That was great on a Friday afternoon. Staff was friendly. Restrooms on course. You get what you pay for and the value was for the money was good. Happy with the round.

Seen it’s better days
Cart paths were terrible.had to drive on grass cause path was too rough. Greens worst I’ve ever seen. No grass at all on them. At one time, this was was probably a nice course but not any longer.

Not worth your time
The course is in poor condition, period.
The greeter/starter needs a personality upgrade. Not very pleasant.

Fair
The course was very due to the rain over night. First in over a week.
The greens need a lot of work. The fairways need mowing and a lot of work. The cart path is terrible.
Bunkers were unplayable due to the rain.
Tee boxes are in rough shape.
This is a golf community, so I don't understand why the lack of care. Where do the dues go?

Don’t do it!
We played there because there were no open tee times anywhere else. There is a reason why they had availability. The course is in terrible condition. Fairways no grass, tee box no grass, greens no grass. There is more grass on one green at myrtlewiod than all 18 combined here. Just don’t do it.

Poor condition for the price

Fun Course
Greens were a little fuzzy, fairways a little long due rain and not being able to mow. Over all it was a fun track, nice lay out.

The course is not maintained wry well, the greens are the worst I have played in the twenty years of coming down here.

Ok for the price
Greens were not bad for the season, fairways with not much grass and cart paths were to be avoided.. warm reception from the pro but the starter would not smile even if his life depended on it.
All and all worth what we paid for.
