Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club is situated in Calabash, N.C. a scenic fishing village. The mature woodland landscape provides a secluded and relaxing setting that is ideal for a round of golf. Though it may be peaceful, you still have to be on your toes with plenty of water hazards and sand traps lurking throughout this traditional layout. Mature trees line the fairways, requiring even further accuracy. The golf course is known for its natural crater lakes, which make an appearance on several holes. It is a course that rewards strategy and skill over brute strength. The holes will make you think, but overall Carolina Shores is a forgiving golf course that is playable for all skill levels, especially with five sets of tees ranging from 6,085 yards to a lengthy 6,755 yards.

Same old ...
Same old course. Cart paths are terrible. Not much grass in the fairways. Whole course has poor drainage, thus was very wet. When we took our golf bags off the cart after our round, found over a dozen cigarette buts at the back. Usually play this course once a winter. Never gets any better. Only paid $23 thru Golf Now. Not worth any more. Won't be back.

Don’t play here
Course is in very poor condition, appears to be as a result of not maintaining it. Weeds and root eating insects have taken over. Greens are about the only area of the course which appear to be maintained.

Nice course
Fairways excellent. Greens good. Pace fine
Look forward to playin again soon.
Disappointed in regards to putting surface
Greens were in pretty tough shape layout was great, but fairways were burnt out
Very enjoyable
Carolina Shores is one of our favorite courses. The course is in good condition as always and the greens were fine. Play moved along very well. The staff including the bagman are the best. We can't wait to play CS again.

Good layout, wet
Course and setting was good. Clubhouse was nice and staff was very friendly. Unfortunately all the rain recently wasn’t a good thing. Would like to play it again once the monsoon season is over.
They had too much rain in the course was soaking wet soggy we were unable to finish the round as thunderstorms came in we had to quit after the 13th hole not a very pleasant over all day probably wouldn't go back
Terrible greens
The front 9 greens are pretty much unplayable. The back 9 greens are playable but are just mediocre and you probably won’t get a true roll. The tee boxes were below average. The layout was fine and would be nice if the course was better taken care of.
Burnt Greens
Greens were not in the best shape at all. We usually visit once a year for our family vacation and find a course to play. I wasn’t impressed with how the course was manicured. A course that is going to charge regular prices such as others should be well maintained!
Great experience.
Fun course to play. Very wet and cart path only on front 9 and 90 degree on back 9. There was a lot of rain this week. Driving range was closed too. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as they let me reschedule my tee time several times due to the weather. It was booked on GolfNow. I would definitely play this course again when I visit next year.
Bad Greens
I love the layout but it needed to mowed and the greens were horrible. I have never played on greens that had NO green. More black that green. Putting was horrible. There was no way you could attempt to make a put because of the condition of the greens. I will not drive for 1 hour to play on conditions like this..
