This course has been bought by an investment for the land value. The current owners have no interest or experience in Golf course up-keep.

The course is in such terrible condition that it is no longer playable.

I called customer service @ GOLFNOW and requested/received a refund due to false advertising.

greens were in rough shape. tee boxes and fairways 3 stars.

Over half of the greens were sand. It looks like they haven’t done maintenance on it for a month. Couldn’t see the flags as they were laying on the green because they hadn’t moved the pins forever. I can’t believe they would charge that amount cut the fee in half maybe worth it

PLAYED IT MANY TIME BEFORE WORST SHAPE THAN BEFORE

They gave up on this course years ago. Tee blocks hadnt been cut in at least a week. Greens covered in sand and were unplayable. An extremely friendly staff was the lipstick on this pig.

While everyone was friendly and the pace was good, the greens were totally off. Putting was nearly impossible on the Sandy, bumpy service.

Very poorly maintained, really just a cow patch without the cows. No maintenance at all, cart path just broken asphalt, clover and all sorts of weeds on the fairways, the rough really is just underbrush, most greens are sand.

Another great day of golf at Carolina Shores. Phillipe and Jennifer are continuing to improve the course conditions and are always very helpful, and very accommodating. Best value for the money in local area.

greens below average,, but not as terrible as most reviews, 2-3 green that were terrible,(unputtable)rest were ok for most part. Course lay out is not bad. i would go back if i was looking for a quick practice round for cheap

We have never played here before and had no expectations. We had a good day at a well designed course, however the course needs some serious attention all around. We will try it again next year, hoping that this was just a bad year in the way of tees, fairways, greens, and rough.

It is a nice layout but is right on the edge of losing it forever and should be sold to someone who would give it the maintenance it needs. There is no grass on the greens or fairways and I mean none. There is more sand on the greens then grass and I mean thick. Only surprise was the bunkers which actually had sand and were easy to play.

I read all the poor reviews but couldn’t find any Tee times that fit when I could play so I booked. I went with low expectations and just wanted to get some swings in. The tee boxes were either clover or sand. The fairways were some grass but mostly crabgrass. Most of the greens were sanded. Some were worse than others. The cart paths had us cracking up. They were really bad. All that and I still had a good time because I was with my son playing golf. Know what you’re getting into and you’ll be fine. Cheap place to work on some areas of your game that may need work. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. If I want great lies and plush conditions, then Im gonna pay for it and play elsewhere. If I want a cheap quick round for practice, I’d come back.

Despite being a nice layout and very friendily staff this course is in the worst condition of any course I have ever played. There is not one puttable green, there is not one tee that has grass on it and virtually no fairway has any but stubs of grass. I would however say the sand bunkers were quite nice with a decent amount of sand. Don't be swayed by the price just go somewhere else.

Unfortunately this course needs lots of work on both greens and fareways. Road ways rough.

Carts good. Staf friendly and helpful.
