Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club is situated in Calabash, N.C. a scenic fishing village. The mature woodland landscape provides a secluded and relaxing setting that is ideal for a round of golf. Though it may be peaceful, you still have to be on your toes with plenty of water hazards and sand traps lurking throughout this traditional layout. Mature trees line the fairways, requiring even further accuracy. The golf course is known for its natural crater lakes, which make an appearance on several holes. It is a course that rewards strategy and skill over brute strength. The holes will make you think, but overall Carolina Shores is a forgiving golf course that is playable for all skill levels, especially with five sets of tees ranging from 6,085 yards to a lengthy 6,755 yards.

Terrible condition
Many greens had no grass. Others infested with crab grass. Tees and fairways are soft crabgrass. Very high and had not been mown. Could not tell difference in rough or fairways. Sandtraps were unplayable and had not been raked. Course should be closed and greens resodded. Great layout but such terrible condition.

Listen. For what u pay. The course is good. Not to tiger woods standard. But comparing it to nj courses for the money. We were happy. Keep up the improvements and we will be back.

Great Spot!
Looked for a place we thought was reasonably priced and couldn’t have been more pleased! The gentleman in the pro shop was more than helpful. And the course was in good shape. I will definitely play here again!

Course needs some help
The course could be nice,it needs,some major work,if you just want to go out and beat some balls around,not bad for the money, other than that,don't expect much.

Sad Situation
This course could be an excellent place to play if it were maintained. The fairways, water, sand traps, and greens are not being maintained. The layout is good for moderate skilled golfers but the condition is terrible. So sad for a resident living along side this course.

Booked the tee time through Golf Now - easy as usual. When we arrived the woman at the desk could not have been nicer. She told us that our fee was $52, not $59 as the website had said - said they wanted to be honest and for that, a big thumbs up!! The course itself was fine: nice area, reasonable for rec golfers as were are. The greens were, unfortunately, virtually unplayable. Hardly any grass, bumps and ruts all over. Tee boxes needed some work and bunkers were not always, well, sandy. If you simply want a round of golf, the price is very good. But conditions - even for my high handicap - left a lot to be desired.

Terrible condition, unkept
The course is not in good shape. Off the fairway the grass is all crabgrass and not mowed. The greens are horrible with sand and dandelions. Sad condition.
Do not waste your time here there are so many great course to play.

Good beginning course
Tee box's were very sandy... fairways weren't so fair. Friendly staff, easy beginner course. Good pace of play.... easy layout to follow.

beautiful course, but an obvious lack of love. No one is working on the ground, left abandoned. Not worth the price.

Very friendly owner and a relaxed course
We vacation annually at Myrtle Beach and this was theFirst time for us. The owner couple was very friendly and nice and my wife and I felt right at home. If you want a relaxed rounding I highly recommend. Great food to boot. Will come back every year.
