Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club is situated in Calabash, N.C. a scenic fishing village. The mature woodland landscape provides a secluded and relaxing setting that is ideal for a round of golf. Though it may be peaceful, you still have to be on your toes with plenty of water hazards and sand traps lurking throughout this traditional layout. Mature trees line the fairways, requiring even further accuracy. The golf course is known for its natural crater lakes, which make an appearance on several holes. It is a course that rewards strategy and skill over brute strength. The holes will make you think, but overall Carolina Shores is a forgiving golf course that is playable for all skill levels, especially with five sets of tees ranging from 6,085 yards to a lengthy 6,755 yards.

Very nice mature course.
Had not played the course since I was 20 and didn't remember it. it. Fun layout. Not particularly changing in elevation but many holes had some very tight shots from the maturity of the trees over the years. Sand traps were OK with tight cut lips but most were hard packed and grainy. Greens rolled OK but I think that was due to the recent aeration. Will come back to play again. I diamond in the rough A real bargain as you can find discounted tee times for less than $100 a foursome for a round

A good deal for the money.
Need to resurface the cart paths. Sand traps can use more attention. Fairways and Greens are in very good shape. Staff is extremely cordial. Pleasure to golf here.
Awesome course for the value price
Course was in great condition. Staff was outstanding, will be back to golf again. Hidden among all the courses in the strand you need to check this one out.
Bermuda grass greens, playing course well maintained.
Very friendly staff, quick play. bermuda grass greens, a little slower than bent grass. Enjoyed the day, going back this Friday.
course was nice but needed to be in better shape
greens had just been aerated and were slow....course could use some new sand....and raked....all the coursed were wet and before greens it seemed they were watered.....

Not a course that shows what the strand has to offer. Not awful for grandparents and their grandchildren but not for the guys on their yearly getaway. No amenities and no holes that make you say wow. Should only be played by the residents of Carolina shores and those who want a memorable experience should stay away.
