Carolina Shores Golf & Country Club is situated in Calabash, N.C. a scenic fishing village. The mature woodland landscape provides a secluded and relaxing setting that is ideal for a round of golf. Though it may be peaceful, you still have to be on your toes with plenty of water hazards and sand traps lurking throughout this traditional layout. Mature trees line the fairways, requiring even further accuracy. The golf course is known for its natural crater lakes, which make an appearance on several holes. It is a course that rewards strategy and skill over brute strength. The holes will make you think, but overall Carolina Shores is a forgiving golf course that is playable for all skill levels, especially with five sets of tees ranging from 6,085 yards to a lengthy 6,755 yards.

This course has amazing, potential but fairways tees and traps need a lot of work. However for the price it's very Playable.

Should have warned players
The greens were dressed with sand and they were virtually unplayable. Course was in poor condition.

No grass on tees, fairways or tee boxes. Set your expectations low!

Course needs work
The course was in bad condition, especially the first nine holes. We came to the Carolinas hearing that the courses were fabulous. Unfortunately, this one was really underwhelming.

Downhill since 1994
Course needs some serious TLC. Staff is great, played in money game with some great members but the course is in terrible condition. Was 1 under on back 9 but could have been 4 under if greens weren’t so bad. Should be priced at $20 per round and that could be high

Storm damaged
We played the course because we had a discount coupon. The course had the 3 of us and maybe 6 others playing that morning. We thought that was strange when we checked I'm but said we could set our own pace. We did fast. The course you can tell has not recovered from storm damage. Trees down in the rough areas all over and the fairways not well maintained. The greens cut but in poor condition. I think it is a beautiful and challenging course when back to normal condition. Wishing them the best as I know storm clean up is expensive.

Myrtle Beach golf
The worst golf course I have ever played on and that's saying something coming from AR. Every green was bad, cart paths were horrible and the fairways in bad shape. Never again! And Myrtle Beach?

Save your money.
The fairways were fair, greens Are horrible. Played it 2 yrs ago said we'd never go back. Thought what to heck maybe they've done work on it. Boy were we wrong that was are last time playing there. Save your money.

Myrtle Beach golf
This was the worst course I have ever played on by a mile. Every green should have been closed. Every fairway was horrible, no grass anywhere to hit off of. Cart path was pot holes for all 18 holes. Truly the worst shape of any course I have ever played and I'm 72 years old.

Don't Play Here Right Now
The greens on this course are TERRIBLE. Very hard, grass is sketchy, very irregular...no true roll. On top of this, there was mud on my ball after nearly every shot. Maybe try another time.

Staff is excellent....BUT.... Course still needs a lot of work. ... I enjoy the course layout and looking for an improved condition of the course this coming Spring and Summer!

Overall for the price Carolina Shores was great. The cart paths are in rough shape. The greens need a little work, but it is still winter.

The layout is great. The course has not been maintained. I am stunned it is still open. I got it for $34 and that was $30 too much considering the course conditions.
