Great place to play- Photo submitted by goody39420 on 04/18/2013
Great find in the foothills
First time playing, walked on as a single. Free range balls a big bonus. The practice green seemed much slower than the course greens.
Tee to green in very good shape. Fairways with great turf. Greens are often severely sloped, so fast downhill and slow uphill. Greens are also
No startermall, so bring your A chipping game.
The only difficulty was not knowing the course. I couldn't tell which way a hole dog legged from the tee.
I was able to walk, but it was a workout at the end of the back nine.
This course has great fairways
Auburn Valley country Club is an excellent course. The staff is equally as excellent. They are friendly and make you feel very appreciated. I play here often and I have never had a bad experience.
Great Auburn Value
Course in good shape; greens rolled fast! Looking forward to the next time.
Liked it.
Hard to find, but worth the price and effort. If I lived in the area, I would consider joining the men's club.
Great Course
First off, when you arrive, the facility is is excellent condition. The free range balls with the purchase are a great addition to the green fees. The chipping greens and putting greens match what is all the course perfectly. Secondly, once you stand on the tee boxes, there are no holes that try to trick you but at the same time, they will challenge your golf skills. Lastly, the greens are all VERY fast. Don't put the ball anywhere above the hole, you'll be three-putting for sure. Even though they are fast and challenging, they stay true so you know what you are getting into. I love it and had a great time.
Excellent Shape
Played on the 25th of Feb. Course was in excellent
shape. The staff was very friendly even though we we using Golf Now they treated us very well. We played 18 holes in about 3 hrs. The staff at restaurant was also very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Will play there again .

Great weather, and the course even after the rain was in great shape. Unfortunately there were a lot of two-sums ahead of us slowing the speed of play.
Country Gem
Ok this place is way out in the country! No sound of cars. It is peaceful. This is a wide open course. If you need some space to work on your game this is the place. The greens are mostly small and tight but some have lots of slope which can challenge the putter. I did however see mold on the putting greens. I hope they can correct the problem before it gets out of hand.
tuff greens
greens were firm and quick but overall course was i very goodshape
Gee-Money
Played course for the first time. Snd must say it was a hidden gem. The course was in great condition considering the amount of rain we had. The greens were in good shape, and the fairways drained about as good as expected.
The only complaint was the restaurant didn't open til after 10:00 am. What is a golfer to do with no breakfast.
Will play again.
great course!
Always love golfing auburn valley!!...tucked away nicely off of highway 49 and surrounded by beautiful homes
......the course is kept in top notch condition and usually plays fast, took my dad there for our annual Christmas eve round of golf and had to endure the cold wind and fog and even rain the last 4 holes but a highly recommendable course for the price
Good course
Fairways in good shape. Greens were good not great. Overall it was a good day and good course.
A great round of Golf!
Sweet greens and great playing conditions...loved it! shot 83 and left a few out there...
Great Value for this Challenging Course
Greens were in great condition and course is always challenging to play.
Challenging Course
It was our first time on the course, so that unfamiliarity led to some challenging 2nd shots; however, it's a beautiful place to play. Great practice facilities, friendly staff. Lost some balls but had a lot of fun.
Nice Course
This is a very nice, pretty golf course. Out in the countryside, only a few houses along the fairways. The back nine is almost like you're out in the wild. Challenging, but not too difficult.
Play was very slow the last two times I played here. Part of the problem seems to be that they do not call anyone when it's their tee time. I asked in the pro shop if they were going to call us when it was our time. They said they would, but no one ever called anyone. As a result there is kind of a free for all at the first tee with three groups of players there at the same time and no one knowing who is first, second or third and there is no spacing between groups. It's totally disorganized.
Auburn Valley C.C.
Excellent course and it's always kept in the best condition. You must play at least twice to understand the layout. It's very fair yet challenging. Truly a fun course for all levels of players.
A gem in the Auburn area
My new favorite course in the foothills , a beautiful course that was built in 1960 , greens were fast and fairways were wide , highly recommend , lots of FUN !
A Good Challenge
If you can get past the 1st hole with your sanity...it's going to be a good day! The course is fair, but definitely challenging, especially the greens if you're not careful. The greens are small, with a number of "hidden" breaks. Front tends to play a little tougher than the back, but overall a fun course to play.
