The Ridge Golf Course & Events Center

We had a great time overall. The course is beautiful and well maintained. It’s one of the harder courses in the greater Sacramento area; but, not unfair.

There was a delay in our tee time due to the availability of carts. But, when we got on the course, the pace of play was great for a Saturday.

The pro shop manager gave us a couple driving range tokens due to the delay. That was a nice gesture.

Me and my fiancé will definitely return.

The tees, fairways and greens were in great shape for any time of year but considering it's February, pretty amazing conditions.

Was excited to play The Ridge; had not played there in a while. Unfortunately, they apparently have had an ONGOING and KNOWN problem with a large number of their carts not being available due to maintenance issues, nothing to do with Covid, that had us wait just under an hour past our tee time of 1:10pm. This should have been disclosed; them taking early afternoon tee times knowing players would have to wait for 45+ minutes past their tee times without a notice posted to the player prior to booking is unacceptable. We booked a time that should have been able to easily finish; that did not happen.

The course itself was in very good condition. If you can golf earlier in the day (When I assume they would have enough carts) or you don’t mind waiting and not finishing your round then the course is worth it. The clubhouse staff seemed indifferent to the frustration the 30+ players all waiting well past their scheduled times. At the very least a bucket of balls would have been a good way to ‘apologize’ for the significant delays.

Coarse is in amazing shape. Greens are super fast!!!

The Ridge was a one-time LPGA course event holder - the Long's Challenge, and the layout presents a challenge for anyone. The greens are all multi-tier and are often rolling extremely fast. The slope rating from the blues is 137.

The course is challenging. Difficult greens. The course plays very nice. Not so sure how well it drains with allot of rain as the fairways was wet. Fairways is short grass but you can take a nice divot through the turf. The tee boxes and greens was in good shape.

I would play there again if I can get a good deal on green fees.

Ball machine out of balls on one side. Needed to go to pro shop to get refunded. Staff was nice and gave me extra tokens to compensate. Waited 20 minutes pass tee time for cart. Which didn’t matter due to the slow fivesome ahead of us. Pace was so slow my partner circled back to do front 9 again and I stopped play. Typically this a good challenging course but today was frustrating.
