About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Fun course that is different from most others in the area
This was my second time here. First impression was "these golf carts are fast". Turns out that they need that extra power because you are going up some steep hills.
The course does remind me of some of the mountain courses that I have played. Course knowledge will help you here but also fun the first time out.
I highly recommend that you check it out!
Great course but Cart Path is sketchy
Course was amazing but I tell you, a few beers in me and im not sure that cart path will hold up. Loved this course and will be back soon!

Great course, pace of play very slow
The course in itself is one of the better public courses in the greater Charlotte area. Greens and fairways are well kept. I could also tell that the cart paths had been re paved since last golf season and new carts were purchased which added to the appeal of playing Eagle Chase.
The one only major issue that continues to plague most of Charlotte's public golf courses is PACE of PLAY. My buddy and I decided to call it quits once we had hit the 5 hour mark after finishing the 13th hole. This issue of pace of play is not exclusive to Eagle Chase however the day we played was particularly slow and it would have been nice to see a Marshall moving groups along.

Eagle Chase worth it
A bit out there, but worth the drive! Lots of elevation changes & undulations on greens, but completely playable and fair. Course isn’t long, but challenging. Greens & fairways were in phenomenal shape! This is now firmly in our rotation of local courses. Big fan

beautiful course
Course was in great shape! A mountainous course without the mountains. As my playing partner said that had played the course a few times in the past.(He shot an 86 the day we played.) "This course is brutal" but it is also fun.

Great course for the fees paid. Just too difficult for a golfer that hasn’t played much in recent years. Greens were okay excellent and staff was was competent and friendly. About the only negative we’re the many flies in some spots

I read a lot about the course online and a lot of people gave it a great review.
I have to say that the pace of play was very slow and the STINK from a neighboring field being fertilized was unbearable. Actually the flies are the worst of it. Everywhere you stopped you had hundreds of them landing on you.
Now, i understand that this is once a year but it ruined our day.
