About
Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Challenging Course
Course in great shape with all the hot weather we have had. Enjoyable round, worth the drive to play. Great chicken salad sandwich.
Great value, staff and course
This course is a bit of a drive from Charlotte but depending on where you're at it will be faster than heading to Ballyntine (sp?).
The clubhouse is nothing much and no place to hangout after. Just really not much more than a shack but has the necessary stuff ... basic snacks, drinks, and golf balls, etc. Really no bar or dining area. Just restrooms and the previously mentioned stuff. Never seen a beverage cart either.
The course and the staff are great though. I'm from Tampa and play weekly and just played a week in Hilton Head. Still like this course probably better than courses I've paid at least double if not triple.
I was late as Google Maps took me via a new toll road that I didn't know opened and I had no cash or toll pass in the rental. This was no problem for the staff and they had me hurry up and get out before a bunch of groups teed off. Even the group on the tee waved me to hit first. Played the front in 1.5 hours or less. Back was a little longer.

Aeration
Front nine closed for aeration - NOT disclosed on GolfNow which I did not appreciate since I could have played elsewhere for the same price.

Always Great
Eagle Chase is one of my favorites. Little bit of a haul from Charlotte, but well worth it. Course always in good shape and the greens are some of the best in the area. Staff is friendly and even thanked me coming out to play. That doesn't happen very often elsewhere. Got out early which was a bonus with the heat.

Love the course but ....
Course was great and staff was very friendly. All the complaints I have are about pace of play. Front 9 done in less than 2 hrs. Back nine was over 3 hrs. We waited 10-15 per shot and called in to pro shop 3 times and got the same answer “ under staffed”

Eagle Chase Delivers
Well worth getting up early and swinging it on a great track. Greens very consistent. Fairways in great shape. Bunkers were very wet - probably from overnight irrigation runoff. Excellent golf course which allows multiple types of shot making.

Outstanding
Play in the Charlotte area couple to three times a year when visiting a friend. We rotate now always looking to try someplace new. This course was awesome from the staff including starter who arranged for us to go out a bit early to the rangers and the pro shop were friendly and outgoing and doing anything to make our round enjoyable. Course was in perfect shape from tee to green. The course is a bit off the beaten path which for my money made the course conditions even better. This is a replay in our groups opinion anytime I’m in the area. Any positive adjective can be applied to this course Truly a gem of a course

Alwys love playing here. The course was in great shape tee to green. Highly recommend.
The only negative is the cart paths are in need of attention but don’t let that stop you from having a great round!

Best Bang For Your Buck
This is the best course I know of where you can play for less than $20 (using HotDeal)
This place is prettier than $80 Ballantyne and in better condition!

Great course
Great course. Staff is very friendly and they really seem like they appreciate you coming to play their course. Thus course is always in great shape. Very challenging with no 2 holes the same. Zoysia greens are in great condition all year. You will be impressed!

My new favorite!
The course play was awesome and the elevation changes were great. Definitely not something one would expect from the area. Every hole had a unique challenge and the greens played very fast but were mostly easy to read. The fairways, greens and even rough were in pristine shape. A big fist bump to the grounds crew! This is my new favorite course and I will definitely be back again very soon!

interesting course
Not a course you could realistically walk. There are extreme elevation changes and several greens were a bit of a hike to get up or down to. A lot of shots were either up or down hill. Cart paths were in terrible condition.. Tee boxes were in need of some TLC. Fairways were in good shape, although a lot of up or down hill lies. There are several quirky holes, hitting to extremely elevated greens, or greens that slope away from approach shots. Greens were in great shape and fun to putt on. Nice driving range.
That being said, I enjoyed the course and the routing of the holes. It is a stand alone course, with no homes along the fairways. I would recommend playing this course as it is an interesting layout and a good challenge compared to other courses in the Charlotte area. Not a long drive, but in the middle of nowhere. Go play it.

Challenging Course and Great Conditions!
This is one of my favorite courses in the Charlotte area and I’m never disappointed! The course is always in great shape and I find it more challenging than a few of the others I typically play. I love the elevation changes from tee to fairway on some of the holes and the views from some of the tee boxes are awesome. It’s a very laid back atmosphere and the staff and other golfers are always very friendly. I definitely recommend this course!!
