Great layout, greens in excellent shape

Would go more often but way out

This is the first time I've written a review for a course, but I enjoyed the course so much, I felt I had to write one. We were greeted by friendly staff as soon as we made our way to the pro shop. There is a nice size driving range and putting green. The course itself was awesome! Every hole could be a postcard. The fairways and greens were in great shape. I really liked the rolling terrain and elevation changes. Even though we had to wait on a few holes, we still finished in four hours. I wish it was closer so I could play it more often.

I play Eagle Chase on a regular basis. If it were closer to Charlotte, it would be a lot more expensive. Definitely one of the nicer courses in the area. It’s more hilly than most courses around Charlotte. The greens are all great. The driving range has decent grass. The only drawback is the lack of a bar or restaurant. There really aren’t any significant amenities for the 19th hole.

Firstly no snakes in this review, just a lil click bate. But I’m a new golf nut and play all the time and of course am up to my waiste in this sport—w that said I’ve been all over trying to feed the beast that resides within me now and Eagle chase is one of my absolute fav tracks. It’s difficult n fast so pack ur lunch here otherwise you’ll be stopping in to c the fellas in the shop who also take time to know who u r and get things done correct n Expeditiously. Can’t say enough good things. 0 complaints .

Eagle Chase is a well-maintained course and a fair test of golf, with many challenging tee shots, elevation changes, water hazards, and undulating greens. But for the fact that it is so far from civilization and pervaded by the sweet smell of manure from neighboring farms and fields (in mid-April, if not at other times), it would be on my regular rotation of courses to play. Also, it would have been nice if they posted an alert that the greens were being top-dressed, which made the greens particularly slow. As it is now, I am happy to play the course about one time per year.

The course is coming around but the best part is the greens are great.Course has no houses on it and staff couldn't be better. It was extra crowded and took four and a half hours to play 17 holes.The greens are elevated and you must know your distances with your clubs.

First time we played EC. The people were more than gracious, the greens and practice facilities were well above average. We enjoyed our experience.

Every time I go here, the staff is more than friendly and accommodating.VERY challenging course with different elevations The course is always nice, in good shape and it’s rarely Cart path Only. Deserves 5stars all day! 90 degree in March, enough said...if u play golf on Charlotte CPO is expected everywhere but here. Not to mention the beautiful greens

Played course many times over the years it's always been in good shape I like everything about it

This is a great course. We have had a tremendous amount of rain this winter, but this course drains so well, it is always very playable. The topography of the course is much like a mountain course. It will be beautiful in a couple of weeks, as the trees start blooming. You owe it to yourself to try this course.

We have had a huge amount of rain. This course drains very well but it is still wet. Dormant Bermuda will be great soon. Perfect greens! Nice job!

Can’t wait for the color green to arrive back in Charlotte. When that happens I’ll live here. Fun course the greens r terrific. Still Can’t believe the whole city of Charlotte is under water and all but 2 holes, Eagle chase is 90*. Solid pro shop great w guys there to help. Bravo.

Giving this course anything but 5 stars is just silly!! This is one of two of the best public courses in Charlotte, NC. While EVERY other course is a muddy gooey mess after a week full of rain, Eagle chase is 90*. The greens are truly amazing, I can’t even imagine them getting any better. My one negative is they have new demo clubs that “I” was not allowed to use due to them being to new and the “members” needed to use it first! this happened right after I explained I’m in the market for a new driver. Pretty sure that’s not what Callaway expected when they sent u ur demo for this years new items. I could make all sorts of assumptions but that’s unnecessary, the guy was at least nice and gave me last years model to demo...

Eagle Chase has some of the nicest greens around. The layout is interesting with a few very difficult holes mixed in with some fairly easy holes. There are a ton of elevation changes throughout the course, which come with lots of uphill, downhill, and side hill lies, and unfortunately some difficult (if not questionable) landing areas. But overall, I found the course to be fun, challenging, in good shape, with very good greens.

If you are in the area this is a must stop and play course. beautiful and i mean beautiful layout. the views were stunning even on a rain prone day. speaking of rain, the course drained wonderfully and the faculty even allowed me to continue practicing up till sunset. driving range is unique. decent practice area. have been tring out courses in the winter to rank courses to play again in the spring. this course might just be at the top. GO
