Course Highlights
Eagle Chase consistently earns praise as one of Charlotte's best public courses, with its unique hilly topography and challenging layout impressing golfers year-round. Outstanding course conditions and excellent value make this a top choice for repeat visitors.

Eagle Chase Golf Club is tucked away in the rolling hills of northern Union County, surrounded by nothing but acres of countryside and farmland. The secluded locale is ideal for golf, especially since it is conveniently situated less than an hour from Charlotte. The course tumbles across lush green hills and valleys, providing almost every hole with an elevated tee or green. The undulating layout definitely plays like a mountain golf course with even lies being hard to find and a few blind shots to contend with. Water hazards come into play on seven holes, including the first three and the 12th hole, an uphill par 3 that is one of the golf course's most difficult. In addition to the course, Eagle Chase G.C. also offers a driving range, practice bunker, and chipping and putting greens.

Awesome Layout

People always say the cart paths are in bad shape. Well they are not that bad. At least this course has a cart path that goes the entire course. This course is awesome and the greens were very fast and in the best shape I have ever seen on a course this time of year. People complain about the drive. Its not that bad either. Play this course if you haven't it is a real gem. I love it but I live in Florida and come up once a year to play it. Staff is very friendly and the greens amazing.

Great value

Course is in the middle of nowhere but worth the drive. Great layout, risk/reward, elevation change. Course is in country club shape. A few rough cart paths, but that’s the only negative. Love this course.

Golf Hideaway

I played this course as a twosome and got done in less than three hours. The course was in excellent condition and the greens were perfect with no diviot marks at all.The course has no houses on it and was a great deal on Golfnow. I was pleasently surprised to see that they had gotten new golf carts and I am looking forward to playing here again.

Fun challenging course!!!

One of my favorite courses to play in the Charlotte area. Excellent greens and course conditions. The only negative thing I could honestly say about this course would be the cart paths. They are bumpy. However, the course / holes are lined with pine trees . Pine tree roots love to grow underneath them so I don’t know if there is a remedy without changing the layout of the course, which I would never do. None of us play off cart paths I hope, so don’t let this keep you away! If you like strategic golf you will love this course, greens are super slick and true! Bring your A game!!! Have fun!!!

Golf Now Deal = Excellent

Went and played for the first time with a friend. Was absolutely far-beyond the value for what we paid $19 with a golfnow deal. Would come back, and am looking into it for full price if there's not a deal and/or if other friends can join in. Scenic. Great greens/fringe/fairways.

Gem in the Country

The best part of course are the greens and pace of play both were great. You cannot beat the price. The cart paths are extreme need of repair, but the rest of course is in good shape. There are some really breathtaking holes and few holes bad holes. The course is really in the middle of nowhere. Yet it is only 30 minutes from South Charlotte. The staff is really friendly and the clubhouse is old but fully stocked and some good bargains. Overall I would rate it 3.5 stars and worth the drive as you can play on saturday afternoon in 3 1/2 hours.

Eagle Chase Golf Club

Eagle Chase Golf Club might be the best value of any course within an hour's drive of Charlotte. The only real negative about the course is that it isn't easy to get to. Otherwise, for the rate that you pay to play, Eagle Chase gives you quite a bit of value for the money. The staff is friendly and helpful. The clubhouse isn't extravagant, but has all the necessities. The cart fleet is fairly new and in good shape. The practice area includes a putting green, a large driving range, and a short game practice area.

The course itself features a wide variety of holes. There are doglegs and straight holes. There are downhill holes and uphill holes. There are holes on each side that play along ponds. Most of the par 4 and par 5 holes allow you to hit driver. Approach shots are key, as you often have to adjust for greens that are a good deal above or below the level of the fairway. Large greens are inviting targets, but there are equally large, and often deep bunkers that catch off target approaches.

Eagle Chase is one of the few courses in the area with zoysia grass, and it is in phenomenal shape. The greens roll amazingly true. The ball is going to roll on the line you start it on every time. The ball sits up so nicely on the fairways and there are no bare spots to be found. There are a couple of tee boxes that are a little chewed up, but those are few. The bunkers are well maintained, have plenty of sand in them, and also have plenty of rakes, which isn't often the case at many public courses. Distances are marked on cart paths, fairway bricks, and on sprinkler heads.

If you don't mind venturing outside of the 485 loop somewhat, I think you'll be rewarded by what Eagle Chase has to offer.

Course review.

The course was awesome. A lot of hills and greens were excellent. That was my first time playing on diamond zoysia greens but no complaints. I found myself taking pictures on the front nine a lot where the back nine for me was more difficult.

Overall best bang for the buck. Great course (very well maintained) and the greens were very fast with very few divots. Only complaint was the group ahead of us very slow almost two holes behind the group ahead of them. There was no marshal riding around to regulate "pace of play" or "golf etiquette".
