The Pointe Golf Club

Nice accomodating course which allows very good golfers as well as "fun golfers" to enjoy the round. Course is in good shape with the tee areas and fairways nicely maintained, lush and green. The greens were a little slow, but again a good compromise for golfers at all levels.

I have traveled to the Outer Banks on 4th of July week for many years and stay directly on the beach. Family enjoys beach and I enjoy golf. I have played every golf course (except Duck Woods) there and many more then twice. Every year I play The Pointe and always enjoy it the most!

The course was in pretty good shape and we were able to play quickly. The starter gave us some helpful tips.

This course was recommended by an OBX local - his advice was spot on. Nice layout and the course was in great condition. Minimal danger off the tees but thanks to a hand held GPS, was able to see distances to hidden sand traps and water. We played the recommended blue tees, but might have been a little more challenged by the tips (pretty reachable par 5s from the blues - our handicaps ranged between 7 and 15). We were able to get an early weekday tee time (7:15: highly recommended since the course looked pretty packed and slow by the time we finished). We enjoyed our round but the cost was a little steep ($79) for the quality. No military discount - which was a shame. We would happily play again.

I was able to play with my dad while we were vacationing in the area last week. I scheduled the tee time through golfnow and got a deal for only $20/person! The layout is not extremely challenging, but the condition was amazing. Well worth the $20 I paid for the round.

If you like hitting your Driver, play from the Blue Tees. The White Tees shorten a couple of the Par 4s to just over 300 yards.

Liked the course and had a good time the course was a little wet and some holes were cart path only . All together it was a good day

The course was in excellent shape. The greens were very, very good. Then golf staff was accommodating and friendly. Excellent experience, the only thing not up to par was my game!

First time at this course. Beautifully groomed, very challenging, and great fun. Lots of dog legs we had to get around. Par three's were fairly easy. Par four's and five's had some nice difficulty. Friends we played the round with said this tuned out to be one of the best courses in the area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks to everyone there. Will certainly go back for another round.

Our group plays here whenever we visit OBX and are never disappointed. The greens are pristine and very fast. It is always well maintained with good conditions. It is fairly wide open but there is still enough water and sand to require accuracy. They have a great range, putting green, and chipping area so come early and take advantage of the facility.

My annual trek to OBX is incomplete without the relaxed, yet challenging, round at The Pointe. (Listed under the T's in uPro GPS.) a relatively open 18, enough water to keep to aiming. Greens were immaculate and quick. No table top here. Sand in the right places, and pins were set to let you know that. Staff were very helpful and friendly. This is a "must play" when in the area.

Very welcoming staff and an open & well maintained course. Fairways especially nice. As with most OBX courses, you must learn to handle the wind, which can easily be two clubs!

Although the course was crowded (best day in a week), the sped of play was very good.

We played in mid april, the course was is great shape. Very green. And the staff was extremely friendly. Look forward to playing again.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, if you get a chance by all means golf this course. Was rainy the day before so sand was not fluffy but that is to be expected this time of year. Very well maintained, challenging, and fun course to play.

The course is fairly simple. Nothing that really wows you in it's design. It's also fairly short- I think only 6300 from the tips. However, the greens were some of the best that I have ever seen. I've never seen a putt roll as true as they did on these greens. They also have an excellent practice facility. The starter had to come get us for our tee time because we were enjoying our time on the range and chipping green we almost missed our tee time. Also the staff was super friendly and helpful. Perhaps it's because they wonderful people or perhaps it's because it was a cold windy day in Nov. and there weren't that many people around. Either way it was a positive experience and I would definitely recommend the course to anyone.

Due to partners with lower skills we played the white tees and probably enjoyed this course even more. Challenging second shots and greens that were probably a 9 on conditions.
If you want to enjoy a good day of golf with friends this is a great track.
