Great course , very good condition
Really enjoyed my round here. Very good conditions, especially for February. Eager to play again in the spring , worth the hour drive

Fun layout
Haven’t played Greenwood country club in many years but this course remains a challenging and fun layout. The greens were excellent: smooth , true and fast. The only negative I could think of was the fact that it was “cart path only”. Not sure that it was wet enough for that restriction. Wish they had been water or drinks available on the course. Otherwise, a great day..
Slightly above average
I’ll start by saying that overall I had a good time here. That being said the other reviews are accurate, the staff are JERKS. The only way I can describe them is “angry that they’re in business”. But that wasn’t too much of a deterrent as dealing with staff was only 10 minutes of our day here. Range is forgettable but the putting green and short game area are nice.
We played from the tips and overall the course is pretty challenging. The par threes are particularly difficult, they are very long and many have water. Not a narrow course by any means but placement is key on most holes.
Greens were incredibly dry when we played so reading putts was worthless, speed varied between greens and breaks were impossible to predict. Positioning on the greens is extremely important, stay below the hole. We had no trouble holding the greens, if anything it was difficult because we got too much spin.
All and all, for the money it’s a fine enough course if you’re looking for a decent way to spend an afternoon, I would recommend going once. That being said, half the holes are a bit boring and we drove an hour to play so I wouldn’t go again, but pleased with the experience.
great Golf course
Great conditions and very nice course layout! I will keep going as often as I can!
Great course but staff not friendly
Played here a lot this course is very nice and the pace is always pretty good. Also the Golfnow hot deals give you a pretty good deal off of the normal price. Only issue is the guys in the pro shop are complete a-holes and not friendly at all. Only thing keeping this course from being 5 stars.
Hidden gem
Can’t believe this course doesn’t get more play. Greens were quick! Was able to zoom around all 18 by myself in about 3 hours and didn’t get held up by anyone (except myself)
Good course!
This course prides itself on being one of the oldest courses in South Carolina because it was built in 1927 which is very cool. It plays a little long off the tees for an average player like myself but still fun to play if you can keep it in the fairway. This course has been maintained exceptionally well for the last 3 years and continues to stay in great shape. I always enjoy a round at Greenwood Country Club!
Great deal
This is a nice course for the money. Good for a player hit hits mostly a fade. Greens were fast and you need to hit high approach shot to hold the greens. We drove about an hour to play and would do it again
Course in great shape!
Met my brother here for a quick round and we had a blast. Course is in great shape. Staff very friendly as well. Great food for a great price in the grill.
Pro shop employee is a very condescending and unhelpful.
