Lancaster Golf Club

Overall course was good, liked the layout. Beautiful island Par 3. We couldn’t get any type of read on greens, some slow, some fast...slow play by a twosome in front of us made for a longer day than needed. All in all, we had a good round.

Our threesome are members of this club. apparently, Springs is giving unbelievable tee time rates to outsiders. 4 1/2 hours behind foursomes with everyone in their own cart is not uncommon. There are no starters or Rangers, so it's everyone for himself.

The fairways were cut at a good height to be able to get the club under the ball.

After days of rain, the course was in great shape. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Pace of play was good and greens were nice.

Hot & humid 90° weather and all water stations on course shut down yet Lancaster still charges for water bottles at the pro shop!

Fort Mill shows customer appreciation by offering free water bottles.

I guess not all Springs golf clubs are alike.

Perfect day for golf and the course was not busy on a Tuesday afternoon so it was a leisurely round . Course was very open but did have several hazards that were well maintained. Fairways and greens were in well kept condition. Great day of golf.

I play the senior tees now and though some courses either simply don't put much thought into the senior tee location or always just put them on the back of the forward tee boxes. Lancaster golf course seems to give the senior golfer a more even test and fair play against those in their foursome playing the longer tees. Lancaster has become one of my favorite courses in the area. Seems to be more "laid back" and a great friendly staff.

We played fast even though it was a busy day. It is still early in the season, but the course condition is just fair at best. The greens are pretty slow and it is hard to tell the difference between the fairways and rough. The pro shop and ranger personnel were super friendly. I would play out there again b/c I’ll play golf anywhere. Lancaster is a below average public course.

Nice course layout, but the condition of greens was like putting on carpet. Busy day with the nice weather, pace of play was sloooow. No marshal controlling the pace. Cheap round lured me in, but would rather spend more to play a quality course

Cost was very cheap so I thought I would give this track a go. The course is laid out nice, but the greens were like putting on carpet. Very disappointed. It’s wide open on most holes, but has some difficulty on the par 3’s. Very crowded, but to be expected on such a beautiful day. No Marshall’s to keep the pace going. The foursome in front of us was ridiculously slow. I would go back if the greens we better kept. Maybe I’m being too picky for a winter round.

Greens in great condition. Slow today but it's also been raining non stop from a month. Tale of two nines front is super open while back nine tightens up. Good time

Became a member of this club approx. 4 years ago, and have no complaints other than sometimes pace of play is slow. Everyone including grounds crew are very friendly. The course pro, Phil Small, is the best . Very accommodating. The course is challenging enough, and if you walk, the back 9 will get your attention. Practice facilities are adequate, and the snack bar is great.

Lancaster is a fun golf course. Not long not complicated. Greens are good. Sand traps need work. Fairways are fine. I enjoyed it. Pace of play was slow but it’s Black Friday and everyone wanted out of the house.
