Rio Pinar Golf

Recently got into playing golf about a year ago and Rio Pinar was definitely one of the better experiences I’ve had so far.

The moment I got out my car a staff member greeted me and came over with a cart and attended to me.

From there, I checked in with no problem for my 9:20 tee time(was about 40 min early) and hit the range which is equipped w/ tracker technology, shade, fans, and just an overall great practice facility. A medium bucket was $10.65. They also have putting and chipping greens.

I started my round with no issues, although I wasn’t told who I’d be playing with. (I didn't see a starter but maybe I missed them or it was just a super slow day - I’m not sure) I ended up teaming up with another solo with the same tee time. We were behind a foursome and pace of play was okay but ultimately ended up teaming with the 2 behind us to even things out.

Course was great, nice fairways, greens were in a good shape, 5 tee boxes to play from and overall just a nice course to play.

I definitely recommend and the food is great!!

The course is in really good shape right now. The new driving range is a nice touch.

Great deal for this course. Greens were great, Fairways Great also. They had big rain the night before and casual water several places. Staff was out there cleaning up. Only complaint would be young lady in pro shop wasn't very friendly. Pro shop not very well stocked. Definitely will play there again.

Changes to the course are great and the new range, with complementary balls, is very nice. They just let far too many people on the course with very little organization. Hard not to think they are double booking tee times.

I could not be more impressed with the number and type of improvements that have made at Rio Pinar over the past year. Though I have only lived in the Orlando area for the past five years, RP has gone from the course I would only play as a last resort to one of my favorites in the area. From tee-green-driving range-clubhouse, Rio has been dramatically improved in every way imaginable. In addition, for the most part, the staff could not be more helpful and friendly. I would encourage anyone to play this truly historic course. In my opinion, over the past year Rio Pinar has been transformed into one of the best golfing experiences and values in the area.

Course will schedule tournaments and then have to push tee times back. Why won’t they let customers know of the potential delay when booking. That’s twice already in last few months . If we arrive on time then let’s keep the tee time .

Who had a 5 hour Monday round on their Bingo card? Waited on every hole, a very slow threesome in front of us...giving each other lessons in the fairway and hitting multiple tee shots on many holes. 5 groups on #10 as we made the turn. By #11 , every group not visible and still waiting on the 3 ball. Rio can attract some characters; they need minded.

Course very playable, in very good shape.

Cart girls hitting shots and drinking with intoxicated players contributed to a five hour round. Saw a ranger only twice during the round. When we could finally talk with him about the group causing all the delays it was on the 17th hole. He then tried to make excuses as to why he wasn’t around and why at this point “what do you want me to do? There are only two holes left.” I can deal with a slow round, but not if the groups aren’t keeping up because they are playing games with the cart girl and excessively flirting on the tee boxes. Greens and fairways were in very good shape.
