Rio Pinar Golf

Pace of play was terrible but that’s not really on the golf course the group in front of us were really slow and hitting multiple balls. We started at 4:30 and couldn’t even finish the round with a group of 2 people. Course conditions weren’t great. Greens had weeds growing on them. The driving range looked nice it had track man but terrible set up with range balls laying all over hole 1 fairway.

Nice course. Restaurant and bar are very good...pace of play was very slow. We were out fir over 5 hrs...group in front of us were hitting multiple shots.

I recommend this course. Played March 14 2025. Enjoyed all the changes since the last time played here. GREENS WERE FANTASTIC! Some of best in town. Pace of play was sooo slow on front nine. Asked marshall about pace and he told us we were behind then when I asked group in front of us and us waiting every shot then he said he spoke with them. Rest of staff was amazing! Helpful and friendly.

We will put Rio back in rotation!

Conditions are better here than many of the courses we played in the area. They paired us up with a nice couple and we had a great round

Course should have restricted tee times knowing there was a junior tournament. Pushed everyone to back nine. Played 14 holes in just under 4 hours, never finished, disappointed. Twosome I was paired with quit after 5 holes.

Clubhouse and driving range setup was the best. Staff very friendly. Golf cart satellite system is atrocious. Got stuck several times in areas I had to back out of and had no idea where they wanted me to go. Greens and bunkers were excellent. Tees and fairways need help. Restaurant was A+. Overall we had a good time.

There was two hole open in front of us. No one told the people in front of us to move along. 545 hours to play 19 holes.

I was looking forward to playing this course and after a few holes, turned out to be very disappointing. The Blue tea boxes were in terrible shape and the fairways in poor shape. Period nothing exciting about the course layout. Could after 15 holes because we were already at the four hour mark with terrible pace of play Ahead of us. I couldn’t find a spot on the driving range that had a rubber tea to hold the ball so I could use my driver. I wouldn’t recommend playing this course

Almost 100$ a round Range balls 10$ small or 15$ big. Not a bargain but mostly worth it.

Staff on all stations very helpful and friendly.

Pace of play around noon on a weekend: OK, but not good.

Nice course, lots of trees (thus Pinar), some water. Fair and playable for the middle handicapper.

The course layout was fantastic. The greens were in really good shape and they were fast! Really enjoyed this course.

I had played Rio several times during 2020-2022 and vowed never to go back after that. Beautiful layout, but a crappy clubhouse, nasty bathrooms and almost always a 5 hour round. Hears they dumped a bunch of money in, read some reviews and gave it a go, New clubhouse/pro shop area, and an ACTUAL STARTER AND RANGER on the course. They flipped the 9’s so now the 1st hole is next to the pro shop. Excellent move. We saw the Bev cart and the ranger several times. The greens are fantastic and fairways are decent. A little thin but fine, The only legit complaint was the tee boxes. Not in good shape at all. But I never sweat that I put the ball on a tee anyways, but felt it should be mentioned. The pace was good at 4:25. If you were sour on this place, give it a go. They’ve really done an excellent job.

I did not have a good time out there because the club had too many juniors playing and is was backed up…carts were not available at the time of arrival and could not be paired up with anyone…. Immediately left after 2 holes . I tried to make the best of it but could not stand wait..it was the worse experience I’ve had in a long time..due to slow play

This is the worst day .. l left after playing 2 holes…there where a lot of juniors playing and I had to wait way too long as a single player..
