Foursome
Course was in great shape. All patrons wore masks as requested in the clubhouse and prior to hitting the first tee box.
Summer round
Great price on Golfnow. The course was in good shape. Glad they are open.
Fairways in great shape. Course layout in top 5 in the area. Better value than NVPA courses. Teeboxes a little high understandable.
Great course (Woodlawn). Tee boxes not bad but could use a haircut.
Military base entrance might take 40 min
Took way too long to enter base. Great layout of the course but could use maintenance. Bang for your buck but if you’re not military, be prepared to wait and push tee time.
Close To Alexandria _Good Value
Nice layout, and except for a few fairways reseeding, course was in pretty good shape . Rough is fairly short, so off fairway hits are accessible,
May need twenty minutes to clear security at Tulley Gate.
Course in Great Condition
Fairways in good shape, greens well kept. Some tee boxes needed to be mowed, but overall in good shape. Course can get pretty narrow, especially on the front nine, and it’s very hilly. Overall, a great course. Twilight deal is phenomenal, so I’ll definitely be back soon.
Challenging Course
I played today and the greens were recently aerated but the overall course conditions were fine for Mid March. I can’t wait to play the course again and it should be in great shape in a couple of weeks.
Nice Day
Went out before my tee time - Dave the Manager greeted me and was his usual nice self and what a pretty day to get 18 in. I was alone and nestled between two foursomes and they kept it moving quite nicely. Greens are in rough shape but hey we are just coming out of the cold and the grass will awaken.
What happened?
I played Woodlawn today and the course was in rough shape considering the mild winter. The greens were absolutely horrible. The course had no water out for you to drink. The fairways were decently maintained but the bunkers were not raked at all by maintenance as the deer tracks are solid evidence of neglect. I will likely pass on this course my next time out. The cost was low, but the conditions were way down from fall 2019 and don't warrant a return.
Don’t waste your time and money.
The course is in horrible shape. The greens were the worst I’ve ever seen on this course. All but maybe three greens were unplayable. They were inflected with some kind of weed. I would not recommend this course until they address and improve the greens. Totally unplayable and a waste of money. Don’t waste your time.
