Pohick Bay Golf Course

I played Pohick Bay for the first time this past Friday. I enjoyed the course despite my unfamiliarity. The course is is decent shape and is challenging for those that do not know the layout. Many bends that will turn a pretty drive into trouble really fast. Irons and fairway woods from the tee aren't a bad idea. Overall I had a pleasant round.

Course was very well maintained, staff were exceptionally challenging, and layout was great. Amazing deal for the price point. Highly recommended!

A good course, especially attractive promotions makes me go back Reasonably well maintained.

Faster than expected on Father’s Day weekend. Cool staff too

Public Parks course, maintained well, challenging layout, quiet and beautiful.

Old -style course lined by mature trees that cut across several ravines and creeks. Doglegs and elevation changes created challenges for tee shots. Fairways, greens and bunkers in very good condition. Pace of play was fine until the back nine, where some late-afternoon arrivals apparently started their rounds.

From the moment I arrived I was struck by the friendliness of staff. It wasn’t just how they treated me but how I observed them treat other customers. It was my first time at the course. I was sooo impressed with at least five of the holes. They were holes that I have not seen at other courses. After a while courses start to blend together. However, this course at at least five holes that were of a signature nature. I cannot say enough about the work that had been put into the course. Most of the courses have been inundated with rain. Although the back nine was cart path only, most of the front ,with the exception of the first hole , had no restrictions. Beyond that, the greens hole by hole were almost pristine for the weather we have had. I am not one who is easily impressed. Nor do I take customer service lightly. In fact, I know I can be a stickler. Pohick Bay exceeded my expectations. As for the customer service, they could not have been more accommodating. The problem now is that on future returns they have a high standard to meet. I hope they will continue to do so. Please Pohick Bay keep up the good work.

Despite the fact that rains of past several days made fairways a not soggy We enjoyed our Friday evening play. People do need to learn how to replace divets however!

Not impressed for the money we had to pay. Attitudes in the pro shop were not good. Had questions and the responses were kind of like...owell..that's just the way it is.

Not returning.

I was really disappointed in the pace of play. It took 4 hours to play 13 holes. At one point there were 3, 4 somes at 13th tee box. After my golf partner and I completed 13, we decided to leave the course. 18 holes of golf should not take 5-6 hours. 2 solutions to what appears to be a common theme for local courses in the area. Stop over booking tee times, or enforce a pace of play on the course by the rangers. Completely unacceptable when you spend $60 to play a single round of golf.
