Pohick Bay Golf Course

The course was great, but the marshall did not do anything to keep the pace of play. A single slow group caused a backup that left multiple groups on the teebox at a single time.

The course was in great shape. Practice facilities were what I needed. Nice layout. Paid $22 as a single and was well worth it. Rained for about 30-45 minutes during the round and an employee drove around telling everyone that it was cart path only for the rest of the day.

Course was somewhat short but fun. This is a great example of a muni that is in good condition and run well. My only complaint is we were actual told to speed up on a less than 4 hr pace of play on a Friday morning. They seem to have a lot of elderly members that play from the golds which essentially turns it into a long par 3 course for them and leads to these players being up on you constantly.

Fairways were in great shape. Greens were aerated about 2-weeks prior, but were well on their way to being in mis-season shape. Challenging course where course management is critical. Several doglegs and hazards to negotiate. Only a few greens allowing straight in putts.

We enjoyed this round and will be going back real soon.

This course had a challenging layout and no homes around the course. It was a quiet day on a primarily links layout. What's not to like!

Better than expected....
Good course and kind staff..

My buddy and i booked our tee time online and when we got there we paid full price for our rounds and after playing the front nine we went in to see if we could get a raincheck. They told us no that was not possible because the course was open. So we asked since they aerated if they could discount the round and they guy told us that he was not allowed to. I was so angry I wrote an email to the G.M. while we were still on the course. It has been almost a week and I have not heard anything about any refund or discount on our next round. So I told my credit card company not to pay them the round until this is resolved.

Course conditions were pitiful. Tee boxes were beat up, fairways were soggy too. We had rain the two days prior to my round, and they still had the sprinklers going. I had several balls plug in the fairway. They also had an insane amount of sand all over the greens. It was like putting in a bunker. This was my second time playing the course, and it was every bit as bad as my first experience last year. So much for second chances. I won't be playing here again.

Played a quick 18 by myself. Course was in good shape and the weather was overcast in the low 40s. Course had a few leaves in the fairways, but the greens were clear and well grown.

only nine the front nine was open, if i had known would have played at a different course.

I've played this course several times, and usually enjoy the challenge that it brings. The only complaint I had about this outing was the starter, he was extremely rude when I approached him to check in (and I had a tee time)!

Course condition was OK. There are few up hill holes that make this coures fairly challenging.

This is the third time I have played this course and it was excellent. The only drawback was due to cold and wet weather conditions course was extremely wet but the scenery was great and the staff was great. I will be visiting again

Had a wonderful time, pace was good. Helpful starter with pin location, wonderful staffs. Great deal (prices).

Excellent course. Challenging layout. Especially the back 9. Very well maintained municipal course. Compares favorably to more expensive courses. Beware the subtle and obvious changes in the well maintained greens. Otherwise they can snag potential birdies and pars from your round.

After only one round I found it to be
one of my favorites.

Too many leaves on greens and fairways. I hit pretty good drive shot right in the middle of fairway.... but I couldn't find the ball because too many leaves on fairways!! Ruoghs were too long to hide the balls!!
I couldn't even check in on right time because the tournament was moving slow!!
I will never go back to this place.

Greens were in very good shape. Some fairways need some work and appeared to be growing new grass. As usual, pace of play is pretty slow.

course is in nice shape. if you walk it is a goat trail up and down the hills.

Played Pohick many times and have always liked the course. Got off early and finished in under 4 hrs. on a holiday. Worked out great.

The course was very nice than summer and better maintained then before. And nice day except the front group was very slow and there was no ranger.
