A OK by ME
Great Tract, really nice layout, however it needs some course maintence attention.....It is a great value for the money. The price matches the condition, not over priced like some courses in the Florida winter.
nice people, nice area
For all the people that like to play different courses and need the value of reasonable rates than this should be added.
On many holes the big hitters should leave driver in bag as fairways are not wide and mistakes cost strokes quickly. Potential to be extremely beatiful course with some cleanup to tee boxes and paths.
Only concern is rate of play dragged to 5 hours with constant slow play. Avoid sat/sun morns and even that concern goes away.
great place to find out what your REAL. handicap is!!
Friendly staff, pace was a bit slow at times but not a problem .Course is laid out so hitting fairways is rewarded, and missing means paying a price.Driver is not always your best choice ...Lots of water if you stray...par3's are all over 140 yards. Greens and fairway were all groomed .GPS on all carts. I will be back
Cheap, challenging, fun!
It's not in the best shape, but perfect for the folder who wants to go play cheap, yet still be challenged. I mean I played for 12 bucks and yea it's a little beat up but it was a blast! Totally worth every penny!
could be a great course
The course was a great value and it was very quiet. There was very few people out so there was no waiting. The course could be very nice if it was kept up. The fairways were in bad shape and were most of the greens. With a little attention this could be a fun course. There are a lot of doglegs which require shots to be placed along with small greens that require accurate approach shots.
Reasonable, just not to my personal liking
Lake Orlando is not a bad course. It's a cheap price, even at times where most courses aren't, centrally located, and a pretty reasonable challenge. There are pretty nice views around the lake, and it seems to mete a reasonable challenge for people at most any level. Still, I don't like the feel there personally. Yardages seem questionable at times and the fairway lies are usually tight and more dirt than grass. The green conditions are fast, but a little inconsistent and again lacking grass in too many spots. A lot of the course needs local knowledge too, a lot of half-blind shots, hidden hazards, and doglegs that are tough to gauge. Still, I do think many would find Lake Orlando a great experience (indeed most people I've played with have enjoyed it there). I just myself haven't had a good feel in a round there, perhaps the hard ground not working well with my propensity for deep swings. Many will enjoy it, it's just not for me.
Poor course conditions
Horrible greens
Fairways were below average
Worst part, by far, was the tee boxes - not level and had either tall grass or dirt
Cheap and cheerful course.
Shortish course protected by many bunkers and water allowing you to either make a good score or lose many balls. There is a lot of run on the fairways because they are dry, hard and bare in places. Some of the greens and tee boxes need attention. After saying all that the layout is excellent and good value for money. We will definitely play it again.
worth playing
This course as are most inexpensive venues needs some work on the fairways...greens are in pretty good shape except the putting green. There is lots of water and narrow fairways so making shots is critical. I had a good round going until hole 8 then fell a part with out of bounds shots. The trees are quite pretty and plentiful and got in my way a lot.
condition for price is great
the course is a challange and position off the tee is essential. a couple of greens need some work overall a good course to play
Central Orlando Location
Great layout offering challenges to golfers of every level.
In poor shape
A fortnight ago we played the course. It was alright then. This time, the course had deterioriated. The front nine are in a bad shape, especially the greens
Poor playing conditions
This course has a decent layout, nice collection of holes, well bunkered with lots of water hazards, but most of the course has brown or dead grass or bare spots and preferred lies are the norm. The greens are mostly brown, extremely hard and bumpy.
price is right
low cost, ok course. fairways a bit dried out, greens very hard and fast, hard to hold. tee boxes need work, uneven and little to no grass on many.
Great layout, greens and teeboxs/fairways need some love
I honestly had fun on the course. The putting green prepared me for horrendous greens, but turned out to be better then the practice green thankfully. The greens respond like they have concrete beneath them. Ball marks were few and far between. They were not slow, putts ended up off the green if it missed the cup on a downhill putt.
The course at one time was obviously an amazing course. The layout would prove challenging lots of interesting bunkering that throws off your depth perception. The clubhouse and cart barn and entrance gate all look of grandeur passed, with a fresh coat of paint would really add some sparkle, but obviously start with the course.
Bring your own water there is none available on the course besides the 2 for 1$ bottles in the clubhouse.
The range is really abysmal. has a set of mats.. that are long past their useful lives, and a grassy area.. with more sand than grass. And you just hit the balls into the lake, they are not floater balls so you have some interesting range balls as well.
For 13$ I cannot complain too much, I would be upset if I had paid more then that.
golf for under 10$ on monday
THis course is well worth the price. Its less than 10$ and the greens are way better than twin rivers golf course.
Interesting course. Conditions are not perfect but ok
Very interesting course layout. Greens and fairways are ok (not as bad as I read in some reviews). Some of the tee boxes need improvement. Nevertheless I will come back. Good value for the money.
Ok, needs improvement
This course is ok, needs much needed improvements in the greens and bunkers. Its cheap to play and the GPS in the carts are nice.
great value enjoyable round of golf
I will be going back again on Monday's great experience
