Zellwood Station & Country Club
About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Golfer Reviews
Great course
Nice course, good layout, great greens and tee boxes and good fairways. The rough was not rough and playable.
Good Shape
The course was in good shape. Greens and fairways all in good shape. Some of the tee boxes need some help and the rough is rougher than what it should be. There were some times where I had to pick and place my ball on some grass when landing in the rough being that there were a lot of bare and sandy spots in the rough but still playable. I’d definitely play there again. I love the layout with all the elevation changes which is rare in Central FL. The fairways are super tight so bring your A game!
Sandy outside fairways
Pace of play ok. Fairway are very narrow. Many blind shots. Had trouble finding the next tee box
Much improved!
It had been a while since I had played this course and I was pleasantly surprised the fairways and greens were in good condition although the rough was a little challenging. All in all the course layout is so much fun and challenging that I can’t wait to go back.
Best Bang For Your Buck
One of the best courses going right now. Great elevation changes, challenging, fantastic fairways, greens that roll true. Pace of play was great too; finished the round in 4:15.
Zellwood
I had forgotten about all the elevation changes on the course. But considering the freeze that happened a couple of weeks ago the course was in good shape.
Zellwood One of our favourite courses
Whenever we come over to Florida we always play at least once as we feel so at home and the people are so friendly. We have been playing this course for years and we have met some lovely people.
Course condition and value
There were some Tee Boxes which could do with some attention, however, it was a pretty enjoyable experience for my friends and me. The staff was excellent, courteous, friendly and accommodating. The greens weren’t the fastest, however, they were in excellent shape and the pace of play was great. Great value for money…will be returning soon!
Fun
Great course. Not as long as most. Greens fairways and tee boxes in excellent shape. Greens are fast and difficult. Fun time
Don’t waste your money
There was a 45 minute frost delay. Not their problem, what there problem was, was letting out a fivesome in front of 3 twosomes. And one of the five was supposed to be the pro. Not good. I believe they cater to the regulars and don’t care about the paying public. Too many good courses out there to play one that doesn’t care about the paying public.
