Zellwood Station & Country Club
About
A 238-yard par 3, a 259-yard par 4, a treacherous hole called the "Train Wreck" and a five-hole stretch around a cavernous dry lake dubbed "Crater Junction" all help make the semi-private Zellwood Station Golf Club unique. Featuring hilly terrain not often seen at Florida golf courses, the George Maddox design, which opened in 1974, is a challenge. Located about 30 minutes from Orlando, Zellwood Station G.C. is known to be in good shape, especially the greens.

Don’t waste your money
There was a 45 minute frost delay. Not their problem, what there problem was, was letting out a fivesome in front of 3 twosomes. And one of the five was supposed to be the pro. Not good. I believe they cater to the regulars and don’t care about the paying public. Too many good courses out there to play one that doesn’t care about the paying public.
Nice course
Nice course, Chris, my buddy, Aced hole 2! Hit a nice fade and it bounce on the fringe and rolled right in we even heard the flag stick! Amazing time, hit em straight! The hay on some hills makes it hard to find your ball. And one hole is like 200 carry over the water from the whites. But overall great course! If you get it for $40 it’s worth it!
Oh and the Water! It’s filtered and cold all over the course! Rare and delicious amenity :)
Zellwood
Front nine took 3 hours due to a tournament. Back nine was 1 hour. Dry conditions due to lack of rain.
Ohio
Fairways were cut short and lacked grass to hit off of.
Greens were ok had some bumps rolled close to true.
Need more signs as to were to go to the next tee box…
Great layout and lots of promise.
This is a great layout with lots of rolling hills and topography. There are a lot of blind shots on this course and if I wasn’t playing with members, I would have either hit down the wrong fairway or wrong green on a few holes. I’d love to see this course in season, when everything is green. It was also a super slow round and one of the busiest courses I’ve seen this winter, especially considering it was late morning on a Thursday. I’m glad I finally played this course but it will probably be awhile until I come back.
MUST PLAY
OVER THE COURSE OF THE LAST YEAR I REDISCOVERED ZELLWOOD IT HAS EVERYTHING A FUN ROUND OF GOLF CAN OFFER GREAT LAYOUT GOOD CONDITIONS FRIENDLY WELCOME IF YOU HAVE TIME GO PLAY THIS COURSE FOR A FUN DAY I WILL GO BACK AGAIN FOR A NICE OUTING
Fun course
Wind made for a tough day but the course is always fun.
Fun course
Greens are good, rest of the course is average. But it’s an inexpensive round, and the layout is great.
Great value @ $45 or under!
We've played here many times overer the years and right now this is he best this course has played. The tee blocks, fairways and greens are muvh improved, The cart paths are good, the food & drink are fine and the layout is quite good for most levels of players. We'll play here every year.
Disappointed
After booking a tee time using an app, I was told upon arrival that I had to be back in 30 minutes. Of course , one would question why a tee time would be available if it only allowed someone 30 minutes to play a round of golf! I was then questioned by the clerk about my thinking in selecting a late tee time. I chose the tee time because I’m on vacation, and the tee time was available. Sorry to be such a burden to your establishment.
