Poor Greens

I had played here in the past and it was in great shape.. Great layout and staff very friendly . BUT these are the worst greens I have played in years. Don’t know what is going on but very sad to see the course in this shape, would not play again even if it was free..

Course conditions

Fairways and greens need a lot of work. Many of the cart paths need to be replaced.

Nice Golf Day

First let me say the staff at Eagles Point is friendly and helpful. The course is slowly improving since last year. Is it perfect, NO, but heading in the right direction. If I paid a premium rate would have been disappointed but it is priced fairly considering the course at present. Sand traps are water filled and were mostly unplayable. I love the course layout. I will definitely play it again and enjoyed it greatly.

Great Course!

A group of friends and I all went out and played 18. The weather was beautiful. The course was a lot of fun. We got to see some Lowcountry wildlife throughout our round. There were some spots where water was covering the cart path (it hadn't rained for a few days) and the greens had these little buds everywhere that impacted your putt. Overall, we had a great time out at Eagles Pointe

HHI trip

The course was a bit rough and greens extremely fast. It looked like there was an issue with the greens. We did find out that this course was recently purchased by a new group last August This helped us understand why the course is in the shape it is in.

Green fees were fairly reasonable because of the conditions.

We would try it again in the future.

Needs help

Greens are puttable, fairways ok, but tee boxes are bare.

Cart paths are horrible, schedule a chiropractor before you play. It's a pretty place and a good design. It's my hope that warm weather will bring the bermuda to life. Wonderful staff.

Good time

We found the course on golf now. We played about 8:45 a.m. and the course was Dewey but we beat the rush and finished in 3 hours. I can't say how long it would take later in the day. It was just beautiful out and peaceful we were two people by ourselves.

Getting better

The course has come a long way In a year. In April.24, it is back to playable conditions again. The greens are back to 7 or 8 out of 10. The fringe is rough, lots of bare spots so impossible to chip and very rough to try to putt thru. The fairways have some tough spots, but overall easy to play on.

If the course continues to improve at this rate, it will be a course worth looking forward to playing again by the end of the year.

Course was very wet from the previous day’s rainfall. Cart path only.

Cold weather delayed course grass growth.

Very poor golf conditions.

Davis Love design that needs some TLC

This could be a really nice course, as the routing is very interesting. However, the conditions are sub-par, with weeds growing on the greens (and irrigation issues in the center of one green), fairways and bunkers not very well maintained, and some barren tee boxes. If they doubled their golf maintenance budget, and made some major investment into cleaning up the greens, this course would shine. Played this with a GolfPass Hot Deal, and not sure I would play it again even at that price. Starter was also a bit crotchety :(

Overall a very good experience

Course length was great, some tough par 4 holes. Most of the putting greens had a mix of two grasses, however putts did roll true. Two of the greens had huge partially repaired holes / trenches? Maybe drainage areas not repaired well. I would definitely play Eagle Pointe again.
