About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Best value on HHI
Played this three times this past week. Workers are kind and was able to do rounds in 4 hours. With golfing every other day on vacation, their rates were best value for this Michigander.
Excellent day
Was a little bit concerned after reading some prior reviews, but was surprised at the course conditions. Yes there are some spots that need repair, but overall the course is in pretty good condition. Also the day was excellent...sunny and 72 degrees. We will be playing the course again later this week....well worth the money (Hot Deal).

Best value
Played 3 times so far this past week of vacation..all good and better grass in fairways then a neighboring club that I went to once that was tougher. Enjoying warmer Temps then michigan,,,smooth sailing.

Good course, but needs work
I have played here before, but it seems that the course may have come into some hard times. I say this because, even though it was early December, there were some areas that need some improvement, like some maintenance has not been done. Items like tee boxes, a few of the greens, cart paths, sand in traps, and the like, were not like I remembered before. Even my cart said "Moss Creek" on it, so they may be subleasing carts from another course. The layout is fine, and it was playable for my 22 handicap game, and the value was great, but it seems to have gone downhill from the past.

Course was in pretty fair shape but playing conditions were poor. Wet and cart path only.Greens were taken care of except for weeds and poa annoa. lot of remnant weeds around the greens. Course could stand some TLC!

Not too bad
We had two groups playing this course with varying degrees of skill. The course was not as bad as previous players have mentioned. The staff are friendly and the course is manageable with some long holes and pretty views. The cart paths, tee boxes and sand traps need much maintenance, but fairways and greens are in decent shape for this time of year. It’s not the most difficult course to play but well suited for novices and mid- handicappers. Everyone enjoyed the round and didn’t regret playing this course.

good course
Good course, good greens. T off boxes were a little rough and the cart path needs a lot of work.

Good - not great
Friendly staff, good layout. Very quiet day and played in 3 1/2 hours. Greens were inconsistent with lots of Poa annua on some greens and not much on others. Tees were very rough but fairways in decent shape.

Surprisingly nice
I was skeptical given the reviews but nice layout, and with the exception of a few greens with spots under repair, it was certainly worth the price.

Good
Really enjoyed playing Eagle's Pointe. Very friendly staff, excellent price and challenging layout. There were some holes that were in rough condition but overall the course was very playable. It was a little cold for the first nine but it warmed up in the afternoon.

First Impressions Count
I'm a snowbird from the midwest and have played golf all over HHI and Bluffton area over the past 3 years. I've stayed away from Eagle's Pointe due to the bad reviews. However I've read some good reviews recently and decided to give it a try. I didn't expect to much, but to my surprise it was much better than I expected. Fairways are in good shape, most of the greens are in good shape but a few are in recovery and some are in need of help with weeds trying to take over, but for the most part they are all playable. The staff is very friendly and seem to be happy with the new management. I play weekly and will recommend this course as a very good "Hot Deal" on Golf Now. I look forward to playing here again.
