About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Going South
The course could be excellent but the greens are in very poor shape. If they don’t address them, they will lose all hope of keeping the course viable. All greens are a combination of grass, weeds and bare dirt. The fairways were in decent shape. Bunkers were not groomed but had plenty of sand and some weeds. It is a shame because the layout is excellent. I would not play it again unless they fixed the greens. Staff were very friendly.

Fun course terrible greens
Really fun course with challenging sand traps. Greens were terrible with crab grass growing in them. Go ahead and add a stroke per hole because of how bad the greens are. The staff was great and I’ll play the course again just need the greens fixed!

I guess it was a good course for the money but the greens were terrible and the tee boxes were very rough. The fairways were good and all the staff were great!

Great course for a fair price
Early morning teetime. Completed in 3 hours. Staff was very helpful and welcoming. Fairways are in good condition. Several of the traps could use some work. As expected for this time of the year the greens were still developing, so a little bumpy. The cart paths were quite bumpy. Better off riding the rough. The course has decently wide fairways with a good layout.
The driving range was great and the proshop and restrooms very good. Overall a very good experience.

Always liked playing this course. Layout fair. The greens were horrible. Slow, bumpy, too much variation in grass. Fairways could use weed control. It is obvious, finances play a significant role. Beenplaying this course since opened up and in worst condition ever seen

Course condition
Course was in fair condition tee box and greens need to attention, but overall worth the price

Great layout, bad conditions.

Eagle's Pointe wonderful course
Overall the course is in transition from the winter to summer play. The greens were in bad shape with the Poa Anna grass growing with the summer grass. Putting was not easy so my group decided to have two putt minimum. Another thing would be nice if there was a tee that was forward of the red to allow a person to play the course a little shorter. For example the distance about 4700 yards would be great. The staff was very helpful and gave great suggestion on were to grab a bit to eat in the near town of Bluffton, SC

Worst Greens in Bluffton/Hilton Head
Greens were in ROUGH shape. Weeds all over the place on the greens. Looked way worse than it ever has been in the past 7 years of playing there. Really disappointed in the conditions.

Beautiful
Course was beautiful all around, other than the weeds in the greens causing missed putts. Golf groups could use some better spacing. Staff super friendly.
