About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Eagle’s Pointe
The staff was very friendly and helpful course was in overall good condition greens were a little bumpy but with warmer weather should grow in nicely.
What a blast
Beautiful ride in the cart. Loved the ride between holes. Greens need a little work-very fast and flat except for the sprouts of grass all over. We had a great time-just 2 of us and not crowded. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Had a nice lunch too.

Worst Greens But You Get What You Pay For
Nice little course, decent layout (DLIII Design) but they haven’t cared for their greens and they were riddled with weeds so putting was completely meaningless. However you get what you pay for. We paid $32 for 9 holes with cart.

Terrible course conditions
Every green was dotted with 100s of tufts of crabgrass or something similar.
A good portion of the tees were just dirt.

Greens were in bad shape
Had the bad luck of playing the course when the greens had winter rye grass that was fading and the bermuda was just starting to grow. Putting was virtually impossible…plus the greens were very hard which made good approach shots hard to hold each green.

Dog track conditions
So much poanna and weeds in greens / really poor conditions overall. Tee boxes need to be cut a week ago.
Zoom in on pic of first green. About what to expect for the price. Full year of unlimited golf for $1000 should have been a red flag.

Terrible course conditions
Started with tee boxes looking like the rough with tee markers on it. Fairways were no better - could not tell the difference between fairway and rough and alas, than came to the greens - greens were an absolute mess. I would not recommend that GolfNow even has this course on its site. I travelled 20 miles to go play a Davis Love III signature course and it turned out to be the most disappointing experience of my long golf life

Overall good time
Was really busy long line at the 1st tee. Nice staff. got paired up with a couple that were great and very friendly and had a good time. Overall was nice

The decline of eagle pointe
Played this course with on a hot deal for $37. I thought this was a great deal as I have played this course previously and found it fun and in okay shape. THIS COURSE IS NOT WORTH PLAYING! If you want to enjoy lowcountry golf, skip this course. Here are the following reasons to skip playing the course.
1. No outside help or direction at the start or end of the round (not a huge deal for some)
2. Putting on the practice green and course greens in like playing plinko on the price is right. Large lumps of basically fairway greens pepper the greens making it the worst putting surfaces I have ever played on.
3. I could not tell you the last time they mowed the golf course. Tee boxes had dried dead grass three inches tall.
4. Golf cart paths have insane bumps that if you are not careful could throw you off your cart.
5. No cart service on the course.
But wait, why should you play here for under $40.
1. If you want cheap golf, like playing fast, and not feel pressured if you are newer to golf. This is the place for you.
Honestly I am very saddened by the complete decline in eagle pointe. I have been visiting Hilton head for 25 years and this was a course my grandfather took me to to help practice on a shorter, yet challenging course. It just looks like they have tan out of money and can not pay to maintain this once DL3 course.

Not fair to Davis Love III
Glad I did not pay more than $50 for this round of golf. The fairways were reasonable, the tee boxes were terrible, and the greens were disgusting!. My wife and I both had 10” putts on the first hole, the nubs of grass threw both putts off line! There are many other golf courses in the immediate area.

Long but great course
Tee boxes need work and those little tuffs of grass on the greens need to go but it was a beautiful day, the price was right and we had a great time
