Poor condition
Played this course today in an attempt to play a nice course at a good value while at HHI. Poor choice. Course conditions are terrible and was very disappointed. This course is not well kept or maintained. Tee boxes are bare and not maintained, fairways are somewhat bare with minimal grass, many of the greens have burnt areas you cannot putt through, bunkers jad standing water and had not been raked in weeks. Bathrooms on course are not open, have to go back to clubhouse.
Very nice design
Eagle’s Point is a Davis Love III designed course which travels through a golf course community. Very nice homes that are not in your face or terribly tight to the course in most places. Nice layout with a good amount of water.
The course needs better irrigation as it has been dry lately and there are areas which apparently get nothing but rain to get watered. Greens were in good condition.
Sand traps have very hard dirt as opposed to the fluffy sand at more expensive courses.
Lots of different birds as well as alligators to enjoy seeing on your round.
Will play this course again!
Average round at Eagles Point
Check in was easy.
Course in average condition. Patches on the greens, missing tee block markers, not all holes have 100 or 150 yard markers. No hole layout on the course unless you use a phone app. Very few rakes in bunkers. Some tee blocks not very level. One was soaked and muddy. Course was also quite hard so balls ran a long way.
Enjoyed our day since it was first round in a while, and glad we played using a deal.
Good shot challenges
Decent value for course condition. Could be really nice with better watering and over seeding.
Course needs help!
Greens, tees and fairways could use some upgrades. Lay out was good. Starter was nice and informative.Staff at the bar could be more accommodating. Cart guy was overwhelmed with so many golfers first thing in the morning,he could have used some help.Course needs some investment to get it up to par.
Good value course
The course was in decent shape and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
Course in rough shape. Fairways dried out. Greens need work
Nice alternative from my home course
Eagles Pointe has a nice layout and was fun to play. Carts were new and in excellent condition
Areas for improvement:
1. Tee boxes hard as a rock- difficult to insert tee on almost all of them
2. Putting greens - fair condition
3. Cart paths in horrible condition (as is common in this area)
JDS
Friendly staff. Driving range, putting green were in good shape. Pace of play was ok, we were a group of 4, behind a pair, behind a four, behind a 3. Ground was extremely hard and dry, wish I'd taken a hammer to drive in my tees. But, saying all of that to say this, we enjoyed ourselves, lost a lot of balls, and will be back!
