The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Swing, search, curse and drop a ball
Course is in terrible conditions!
Fairways are as thick as shag carpet! Hit into 11 of 18 fairways and still had to search for my drives! No roll at all in fairways! Tee boxes were as thick as the rough! So sad what has happened to a once great golf course!
Staff seems to want to use the 30 days of rain as an excuse for not having the course in better shape! For what they are charging it’s like getting robbed by your best friend!!
Play elsewhere until conditions and attitudes improve!

Course was poorly maintained, first 4 holes had multiple areas of cut grass lumps, grass was cut too high and could not find ball in fairways.
While I understand that they had some rough weather during past 2 months, that is no excuse for not maintaining the fairways, bunkers and severe weeds on many greens,

Poor Maintenance
Love the course layout. Golf carts in great shape. I've played here a dozen or so times.
The course conditions are embarrasing. Hit Driver on 1 down the middle...couldn't find it. Layed up with a 3 on the next shot...down the middle...couldn't find it.
Looks they haven't been able to find their mower. So bad. Bunkers not maintained. Greens inconsistent...some cut, some high, some bumpy.

Good course layout, terrible shape with no course maintenance
No mowing of tee boxes or fairway, greens terrible shape, owners should be ashamed

Great Layout, but needs Additional Course Maintenance
My wife and I played this course on August 4th, 2022. The course conditions were almost unplayable because of high grass everywhere. I lost two balls in the middle of the fairway because the grass was so high. We had several days of rain that week, but the course should have been maintained in better condition. We only saw one maintenance staff person mowing grass.
However, the Course Layout and Design are very nice. Additionally, one of your staff, Holly Woolner, was exceptionally kind and courteous to us. She is a very highly respected Teaching Pro in Bluffton.
We would love to play this course again when it is better condition.

ok round of golf
Pace of play was good. But course needs some work. Many greens and tee beds not in good condition. And they need to mow....... Fairway and first cut are rediculous. I have never lost so many balls in the fairway simply because grass so long, ball sunk that could not find. Staff gave the excuse of rain,, but course was completely dry

Not up to par
Course had a good layout but the fairways were long grass and like hitting from the rough.
Greens on the back left a lot to be desired. Was in better shape last time played.

Worst Course in the Low Country
This course has not had any reasonable grounds care in a long time. Greens either burnt out, dead, or full of weeds. Grass on the fairways was so long, you had a hard time finding your ball, but I was able to balls from previous players who couldn't find theirs. Some traps had sand, others dirt & weeds. This was a big mistake playing here for the $49. Won't do it again.

Eagles Point - Rough
Course had not been mowed “due to rain” about a week ago. Lost a couple balls in the middle of the fairway the grass was so high in some fairways like US Open rough - 12” plus. You had to closely watch where you hit the ball in hopes to find where it buried in the un mown grass. Several greens were also in poor shape. Pace of play was good (no wonder) until the group in front of me ran into a fivesome.

Course in poor condition. Back 9 was closed
Grass was long and the back 9 was closed. Greens were in fair condition.

Poor conditions
Got to the course and was informed it would be front 9 only and replay for 18. Conditions are very poor. Fairways and tee boxes haven’t been cut in a week at least. Course has gotten a lot of rain. Pace of play was slow because they let a 10 player go out in front of us. Would have not played this course had I known.

Eagle's Point? More Like No Point!
During my visit to Hilton Head, I was recommended by one of my very good buddies to try this course in Bluffton called Eagle's Point. Upon arriving, I noticed that basic maintenance had not been completed. The grass appeared to not have not been mowed. There were weeds that were as tall as trees surrounding the ponds. Overall, I was highly disappointed with the appearance of the course, which made playing a round on it completely undesirable. Being a course designed by Davis Love, I was really looking forward to it, as I enjoyed Atlantic Dunes at the Sea Pines Resort. It really failed to meet my expectations. Hopefully the owner and their management will be able to improve on the course maintenance in the future.

Bad shape!
If you like mounds of grass in every fairway, Play Here. If you like water to drink but no cups at water station, Play Here. If you like weeds on tee box and putting surface that cannot be avoided, Play Here. If you like not being able to distinguish fairway from rough, Play Here, If you like plenty of open parking spaces near club house, Play Here. If like playing croquet on the greens, Play Here. Too many options in HHI to Play Here is a mistake.
we won't be back for a while
played 18 holes in 4.5 hours...slow round but the delays were due to the condition of the course. the fairways had not been moved so we spent lots of time looking for balls that were in the fairway and if you got in the rough forget about it. Greens were so bad we played the 2 putt max rule. Sand traps had grass growing in them I like the course but I will not go back for a while

Course was probably nice at onetime. Nice layout. Little to no maintenance shows allover the course. Too bad...
