About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Need plenty of work
All over the place weed every green some was so bad I couldn’t even Put them
Poor Excuse for a Golf Course
This couse should be closed until renovations are made. Greens have multiple types of unmowed grass and some tees are hardly recogizable. The fairways are the quality of a poorly maintained lawn and sometimes there are large plots of crabgrass overtaking more proper grasses. I would warn golfers against playing here as the current operators clearly are not making an honest effort to maintain "playable" conditions.

Poor condition
Course was in poor condition. Never seen it that bad. Weeds in traps, Greens were full of weeds and didn’t look like they had been mowed recently. Fairway grass was mowed unevenly.

Nice course in poor conditionOne of our foursome did not show up because he contacted Covid and I don’t know how to recoup that
Course is not in good shape. The pro was great and gave us clarification before we even went out to play knowing that we would be disappointed in the situation. One of our foursome did not show up because he contacted Covid and I don’t know how to recoup that greens fee.
Don’t play here
First, I’d like to start off by saying the staff are very kind in the pro shop and around the course, but when we first walked in to check in we were instantly met with an apology about how bad the course would be.
We were told mowers couldn’t get out on the course because of how wet it was, but about 90% of the course hadn’t been taken care of any time recently. Grass in the sand traps, greens were like fairway grass, and the fairway was like first cut rough.
Hitting a ball in the fairway feels great off a drive until you can’t find it without a full on scavenger hunt.
Most of the holes were straight, long par 4s with no real creativity on any of the holes.
In short, don’t play here. Pay the extra $15-20 to go to a nicer course, we had a good time because we were with family but definitely will not be back.

Not Worth the Price
Although one of the cheaper options in Hilton Head, it’s still overpriced. They say it the amount of rain has caused them to not be able to cut the grass but courses 20 minutes down the road had their sprinklers on. Seems like the greens hadn’t been mowed in a good 2 weeks. I have never seen greens so furry. I am someone that plays many “low end courses” but even this was sad. Anytime I hit a fairway I wasn’t looking forward to my next shot as I was again hitting out of the fairway rough essentially. Even if rain kept them from being able to mow, it certainly shouldn’t keep from pulling weeds out of bunkers which were in terrible shape. Just overall disappointing bc it seems like the issues are simply neglect.

Extremely poor playing conditions
The grass on the front nine had not been cut. It was so high, you could lose your ball in the fairway. The restriction to Cart path only complicated the situation because you couldn’t see your ball from the cart path even when it was hit in the fairway. So, it added time to the ball search. Additionally, there were several areas with standing water. Terrible experience.

Horrible Conditions
This course needs to close down and have a complete drainage system installed. I have never seen a course in such poor condition. It has such a bad drainage issue, they can’t mow anything. I paid $89 for this awful experience through giolfnow. I deleted this app as well. No refunds. I need a refund AND a new pair of shoes!
The staff was so apologetic when I walked in. This was a clue. However, no way to get my money back through golf now. I should have demanded a refund. Live and learn.

Very nice
We had a great time golfing! Interesting but not crazy difficult holes, great staff, and a lot of wildlife there! The only downside was a few of the greens were a little bumpy. Otherwise though we loved it!

Poor course conditions
Besides being wet, the course has weeds everywhere and hasn’t been mowed in a while. Fairways and greens were extremely furry.

Cut the grass
I had high hopes for this course however that changed quickly. First off let me start by saying it had just rained the night before but grass doesn’t grow that much overnight. The rough looked over grown and the fairway looked like the rough and the greens looked like the fairway. The drainage of the course isn’t up to par (this course holds water) ducks were in the sand traps that’s how much water they held. I played 5 holes and left poor poor poor. I’m not sure who manages this course but they are obviously not keeping it to even a descent standard.

Great layout
Played mid July. Very nice layout, good conditions. Read all other negative comments on some sites. Not fair! My wife and I liked the course. Greens could need cutting a little shorter. Tricky layout, used all my clubs. Nice washrooms on course, great for the ladies. Water was available on course was good on a 34 degree Celsius day. Would come back. Worst course I’ve ever played
Traveling to Hilton head with my family and thought we would try it out
The course conditions were terrible, the worst I’ve ever played on in 30 years
Some holes, we actually sank into the fairways and off the tee boxes because of over watering
Cart path only, greens were overgrown, dry and extremely slow
Course was overgrown and old grass clippings were just laying everywhere
No one was available to help and no amenities
It was absolutely terrible

Not worth it
The course is in terrible shape. So many weeds, it was insanely overgrown and unkept. They were cutting right when I left but the greens were a shag rug. I’ve played MANY better courses for $46. Would not recommend. Rose Hill and Crescent are more worth the money.

Poor shape
Course was in the worts shape of any course I’ve played in years. Not worth the the money at any price. Greens were long and slow. Back 9 greens had some type of funky weed grass growing in them. Some tees early in the day were nothing but a mud big from way too much watering.
