About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Not much maintenance right now.
The course staff were very friendly. There has not been any over seeding so the Bermuda is dormant. Tee boxes are rough but there has not been a lot of play. Fairways are spotty and we played winter rules a number of times. Greens putted well considering the spotty appearance. The price because we got a Hot Deal, was reasonable for the condition. We started at 9am and saw no other golfers throughout our round, the course was not busy. .

Too bad!!!
It is a shame to let such a nice layout go to seed. The greens on the front side were ok but back side a lot of crab grass. Holes thirteen thru fifteen terrible drainage sloppy almost unplayable from the fairway. Such a shame

You get what you pay for
Course hasn’t seen any sort of mower in days. Tee boxe the just threw the markers down in the fairway. Yardage markers from tee boxes weren’t close

Poor condition
Nice layout. Nice bare bones staff. Really poor condition. Sad.

Back nine in terrible shape
Heard from folks that work there about over watering the back nine. It was so bad it was almost unplayable. Also heard that the new owner from Texas won’t put any money into the course that was purchased in bad shape.
Play the front nine don’t bother with the back nine. Agree with comments about not cutting the grass and weeds everywhere including the greens. The whole place looks weary and dog eared. Won’t go back.

Staff was very friendly but course conditions could have been better. Brown areas of grass, some greens were weedy, and many wet, spongy areas. Overall it was pretty good and the pace of play was excellent when I went out at 8:30AM.

great layout but very poor condition
consistent with recent reviews it is in very rough shape. the tee boxes and fairways are overgrown, greens are full of crab grass and cart paths are in need of a total overhaul. that said the layout is great and if you are a high handicapper and are looking for a low cost round it is not a bad option for under $50. staff were very friendly and helpful.

Revive this course or plow it under
Rarely do I write a negative review, but unfortunately Eagle's Pointe earned it. The staff was friendly and years ago this was a fantastic track. But when I played the course was cart path only due to a malfunctioning sprinkler system that soaked the course for three days straight. Further, no one had cut the grass in at least two weeks. We were told by friendly staff, who apologized for the course condition, that superintendent had been sick, and replacement team did a miserable job. What we learned is that the course owner refuses to spend any money to maintain it. So if that's the case, I hope this review hastens its demise. The word must be out because we were alone out there on a perfect Sunday afternoon.
