About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Worst course I’ve ever played
Traveling to Hilton head with my family and thought we would try it out
The course conditions were terrible, the worst I’ve ever played on in 30 years
Some holes, we actually sank into the fairways and off the tee boxes because of over watering
Cart path only, greens were overgrown, dry and extremely slow
Course was overgrown and old grass clippings were just laying everywhere
No one was available to help and no amenities
It was absolutely terrible
Do not waste any time or money at this course
Not worth it
The course is in terrible shape. So many weeds, it was insanely overgrown and unkept. They were cutting right when I left but the greens were a shag rug. I’ve played MANY better courses for $46. Would not recommend. Rose Hill and Crescent are more worth the money.

Poor shape
Course was in the worts shape of any course I’ve played in years. Not worth the the money at any price. Greens were long and slow. Back 9 greens had some type of funky weed grass growing in them. Some tees early in the day were nothing but a mud big from way too much watering.

Eagles Point a good layout that needs some work
Eagles Pointe at one point must have been a nice track. It is in pretty tough shape and screams that the course is short on funds. The traps that were still existing were completely not maintained. The tees and fairways were rough and there were on a few decent greens. .We played at a discounted rate as we booked it last minute. For $37 with a cart it was a reasonable value but I would not recommend it. I hope they can figure out a way to properly maintain the course as it is a good layout. Sad to see a good course on the decline.

Should have read the reviews!
The course was in awful shape. Some of the greens had next to no grass and way too much sand. Some of the bunkers were rock hard. No one told us about the course having just been punched for if they had we would have either chosen NOT to play or would have asked for a discounted cost.

Worth a second try
Very friendly staff from pro shop to club house lunch to starter. The fairways were well maintained but the greens had a few weeds and and some had no clear cut border to the edge of the greens. The course was very dry, but we got caught in a downpour that was strong enough for the warning horn to blow and end our round 8 holes early.

Could be a nice course
All 18 greens were horrible. They had recently aerated the greens (last week) and no one said a word until the 9th hole when a staffer said they were supposed to tell us prior to paying. I get it that greens need this at times but they were in awful shape---probably well before the recent work. The fairways were also in poor shape with several large patches of earth that needed grass put on it. Several holes had drainage problems as we were standing in smelly water trying to hit our approach shots. Several areas needed to be roped off or something to keep you from walking into a bog. The bunkers all needed to be worked ,have sand added, and remove all the weeds and water. This course really had a nice layout and could really be a great place to play if they were to spend the money and upgrade or fix their issues. We would love to come back again on a vacation and play this course when it's fixed.

Great find right around the corner!
We have lived in the area for several years, and somehow never played this corse. We wish we have played it years ago because it was very enjoyable!
We will most certainly play here again, and recommend to friends

Great layout and challenging.
This course is a great value. It is short but challenging as water and bunkers come into play on just about every hole. A good shotmakers course.

Place was awesome honestly! I’m on vacation had a 10:30 tee time an was ready to go at 9:30 after warming up am putting. And granted I’m a single, but the ranger witch was a very nice lady let me get paired with a member and had a blast!!!!! What highly recommend

The course is in nice condition…they could have cut and rolled the greens, they we a lot hairy and tuff to putt on, but fairways were in good condition and the round moved…
