About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Needs a lot of work
We understand that the course needs work and repair. There are greens that should be closed. Putting was like playing on a mini golf green. The fairways have almost no grass. Good for distance. If they were to only charge $35 then it would be worth the conditions.

Course needs some attention
Staff was friendly, pace of play was great being a Monday, but course could use some attention. While we enjoyed the course for its playability, the greens and tee boxes could be much better. It seems the ground crew are making attempts to rectify the situation though. I would definitely play the course again when in the area. A good value for your money.

January Golf is better than no golf
Generally the course was in good shape. Fairways were dormant. While I played under dry conditions, the course did show areas of poor drainage with dried mud or sparse packed grass. Greens rolled well & were a highlight. Sand generally in good condition.
Reasonable price from TeeOff. Would play again

Eagle's Point
Had the course to ourselves. Greens on front nine in great shape, back nine not so much. Fairways overall were in good shape. Staff extremely friendly

Poor conditions
This course isn’t worth the money. It used to be inexpensive to play here. So you overlook its shortcomings. They increased fees but improve anything. Course is always wet. You have a foot of water in sand traps and charge a lot. Not worth the money unless you get a 50% discount

Challenging course
The staff were helpful to provide directions on course layout. It was a bit muddy in some places. And the cart path was bumpy, But it was not crowded and we didn’t need to be paired up with others. Very comfortable round of golf without losing too many balls.

the course is improving. Some greens are in pretty rough shape, but they are better than they were in the summer, and it takes time for greens to rebound. The bigger issue is the back nine were several holes are very wet/muddy. Considering the rain has been minimal over the last couple of weeks, it makes me wonder how that will be resolved. the pace of play was excellent, staff friendly, and price was good.

Great layout - conditions improving
Eagles Pointe is a nice layout that has always had the knock of not being well kept. It’s clear they’re trying to bring it up to condition. A little way to go but moving in the right direction for sure. Great staff

Mainers Point of View
Nice course. Not like Belgrade or the Loaf but comparable to Lakewood or Old Marsh.
Not very crowded the day we played, had most of the front 9 to ourselves.

Excellent Value
Very nice layout. Very few blind shots or surprise traps/ponds. Course condition was a bit sketchy in spots, but not unusual for this time of year -- did not negatively affect play. Greens are large with lots of undulations -- challenging but fair. Cart paths could use some work in some places due to tree root intrusion. Course was almost empty, so no trouble with pace of play.

Nice layout
Beware all of the tee boxes were saturated with water. They must have overseeded. There was no warning. Otherwise it was a decent round.
