About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Great layout has seen better days
Friendly staff, nice clubhouse, great range. Course not in good shape. Greens bumpy, poa patches, dead spots. Tees beat up. I don't expect resort conditions at this price, but it needs a lot of TLC especially around the greens and traps - some are filling with weeds.
The layout is interesting and challenging. There is a right and wrong part of each green. Pins bizarrely placed on ridges instead of as designed.

I see much hasn’t changed since our group left. Tee boxes, greens (poa anna), bunkers that haven’t been filled in as planned, fairways (below average). You won’t make money if you don’t spend money to fix the problems. Pretty soon EP will be as exciting to play as Rose Hill. You have one of the best layouts in the Low Country. Tell the deep pockets owner to spend money and fix Eagles and Cresxent.

Greens need a lot of work.
Poa anau grass spots all over the greens made them hard to putt. Fairways need some TLC also. Cheap course option if you don’t want to pay the high fees on the island.

Better than average
Liked the course layout. Friendly starter who was prompt to get us to the first tee. Second hole needs some work. Tee boxes could use some attention. Greens had a fair amount of Poianna grass and hadn’t been cut, perhaps due to the time of year (March) . Rate was fair value in the market place, and would play it again at the rate.

Nice layout but sad condition
Overrun by nutsedge weed. I love the layout and pricing fair. But the course needs serious work on weed condition. Could not putt without hitting a bump from the nutsedge on the greens.
