About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

Terrible course conditions
Course needs some serious work. Terrible turf conditions , the greens especially

You definitely need to hit the fairway in order to stay out of the water, traps and the woods

At Least It Was Not Saturated
This course has a problem with drainage so it’s never high on our choices to play. This time it was dry so that was a plus. It’s one of the most poorly maintained courses in the area which is a shame because the layout is challenging with well bunkered greens. They themselves were the worst we’ve played here…..clumps of poa annua everywhere. The tees were also lacking in quality.

The greens were terrible and the fairways were bare in spots with clumps of grass. I will not go back again

Only dumb one playing
Course was wet. Cart path only. Fairways are starting to come in. Should be good in a couple weeks. Greens need some help..no grass or in serious need of repair. Some greens were nice however and rolled very true.

except for some crab grass infestation on the green, the course would be rated four and half stars.

March golf
Course is a great layout. Lots of hidden water as you neared the greens. The course fairways were still rough and hard but the growing season is just beginning. I’ll definitely play it again now I know the course better.

Greens need major overhaul
Greens have dead spots and grass (poa) clumps. No evidence of any corrective measures. Worse conditions than in the fall when I last played it.

Good course
The greens are bumpy. Not in real good shape yet.

Great layout
The course has a very nice layout. The fairways were ok. The greens are not taken care off. Very difficult to putt. The price is ok.

Need to work on greens, lots of grasses and spots. Not having liquor at the bar is not good.
