About
The 18-hole Eagle's Pointe Golf Club in Bluffton, S.C. is a public course that opened in 1998. Designed by Davis Love III, Eagle's Pointe measures 6,738 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 130 and a 72.5 USGA rating. The course features 4 sets of tees for different skill levels.
The hallmarks of Eagle's Pointe are its classical, risk-reward design, natural beauty, strategy, variety and superb conditioning, along with outstanding customer service.
Winding through stands of moss-draped live oaks and pines and fresh-water wetlands and lagoons, Eagle's Pointe Golf Club's spacious corridors allow the golfer to keep driver in hand, while its dramatic bunkering, unique green sites and contoured putting surfaces combine to create one of the most exciting venues in the South Carolina Lowcountry.

The course is in poor shape!
The condition of the course was very poor. The greens had black spots on the surface. The fairways did not have much grass. The ruff was such that it was very difficult to find the ball.

Great Potential
Course was very soggy given no rain in past 6 days. Greens left much to be desired . Layout is great and maybe the lack of maintenance was a result of moisture?

Very wet. Balls plugged. Fairway grass thin to nonexistent. Greens had no grass in several spots.
Bunkers not well maintained. Cart path very rough shape. Disappointed in current condition of course

Had a great time playing here. Played some other courses in the Carolinas which weren’t as nice. Would play here again!

Rough conditions - wow!
The course was soaked; greens were awful and the tee boxes were no better. Sad, as this place used to be very nice. It honestly feels like they are about to go under.
Staff was friendly and the pace of play was good…because the locals know it’s in bad shape? Not sure. Hope they make it…

A bit disappointed
I have played Eagle's Pointe several times. Loved the layout and the level of difficulty for a mid-teens handicapper. I was pretty disappointed in the conditions today. We booked via a deal time rate, but even then I felt is was over priced for the condition of the course. Extremely wet, car path only, many many bare spots in the fairway, tee boxes not mowed, greens were in tough condition, the traps that didn't have puddles of water weren't really playable either. Sad, not sure I will go back and definitely not recommend to anyone.
