Dos Osos Golf Club
About
Dos Osos Golf Club(formerly known as Eagle Crest Golf Club) is routed through the scenic San Pasqual Valley. Its secluded location and challenging layout have made Dos Osos one of San Diego's best-kept secrets. The beautiful layout incorporates cascading waterfalls and eight lakes along with colorful wildflowers and rolling green hills. The diverse golf course is a shot maker's layout that is player friendly enough to appeal to a wide range of skill levels. It measures to a manageable 6,417 yards, but it still offers plenty of challenges. In addition to the water hazards, pristine white sand bunkers add a stark contrast to the lush greens. The golf course is narrow, especially on the front nine, which is tighter and has more tree-lined fairways. The bank nine opens up much more. Dos Osos Golf Club rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategy but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Fun Course
Course has decent greens and tee boxes everything else needs major work. No one on course the day I played made for fast and fun round . I will be back
This is one of my favorite courses to play in San Diego, however over the years, the condition of the course has deteriorated. I realize it is winter and some grass is dormant. There is a difference between dormant grass and no grass. The course was what I expected and we still had fun. It is still a good value for the $
Thank you for the review and feedback. We are working on continuing to improve the conditions and hope to see you again soon.
Last Resort
The course is in need of serious attention. We played preferred lies, due to all of the areas that were without any grass. The greens were in decent shape. We left the course before finishing our round. We recommend playing somewhere else.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We are always working to improve our guests experience and since your's was less than ideal we'd love to hear from you directly. Please email me at info@eaglecrestgc.com
Nice course, great value
I played Eagle Crest with my daughter, she's a 20 I'm about a 25. We felt appropriately challenged, and had a great day together. We would definitely come back!

OK To Play in a Pinch
The course is a little raggedy. We had a lot of trouble at the turn getting food in a timely fashion.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We will continue improving the conditions to provide you the best possible experience. We will look into your situation regarding getting your food in a timely manner and initiate steps to reduce delays. Hope to see you again soon.
oops
Booked on line and made sure the greens hadn't been punched, read reviews and said lets give it a try. Sorry to say it was a mistake to play here. I felt sorry for the management having to deal with their lack of water, which has a major affect of the course conditions. Fairways were thin and off the fairways it was for the most part no grass to dirt. The greens were good except for the lazy golfers who don't know what fixing ball marks is all about. The setting here is beautiful sort of in a canyon lots of trees, some what narrow fairways. Maybe So Cal will get a rainy winter and Eagle Crest will come back to what it used to be.
Thank you for your review and feedback. We continue to improve conditions in order to provide the best experience possible. We hope to see you again soon.
Eagle Crest
I love playing the Eagle Crest Golf Club. The stall is great and so is the course.
Thank you for your 4 star review and feedback. Hope to see you again soon.
Eagle Crest
Had stopped playing this course because of the maintenance and overall condition. But now seems to be on the way back. Good value for the cost.
Thank you for the 4 star review and supportive feedback. We will continue improving conditions and look forward to seeing you again soon.
great value
The course wasn't getting much play when we were there. Obviously, it's not doing much business but the employees were very nice, the greens were very good but slow. Fairways are spotting but it's Southern California and it doesn't rain. The layout is interesting, play it for a good price. Hopefully it can stay open. We had a great day there.
Thank you for the 4 star review and feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
average at best
place was empty...don't know how they can afford to keep this place open...greens were spotty and lots of barren areas in the fairways
Get the gate code.
We select an early morning tee time to get a low price and avoid crowds. What we did not know was this course is located in a gated community and the gates don't open till after our tee time.
Apparently this is a repeated problem at the course and some previous golfers just started punching buttons, which rang the phones of residents. The course should provide the gate code as part of the tee reservation.
Besides all that we really liked the course.
Poor service combined with mediocre condition
I keep trying to redevelope a good feeling about this course but I cannot. I was first out this morning and played at a good pace until I reached number 12 where I was forced to wait 5 to 10 minutes hitting into each green while the maintenance worker drive the machine through each bunker. At no point did he stop an waive me up but instead continued until he was done and then moved to the next hole. This continued for 3 holes. Then as I was driving to 17 four foursomes cut in front of me. I went to the clubhouse and found they had shot gunned a group beginning on 17. I had not been told of this when I started. It should be noted that had the groundskeeper let me play through I would have been done before they came out. At that point I gave up and left. Also a few months ago I had multiple cases where I made times on Golf Now and received confirmations only to receive calls that the course had rejected the tee times, once when I was a mile from the course. When I got home after this round I found an email sent 8 minutes before my tee time informing me that the course had not confirmed my time. I guess I was lucky to get 16 holes in. While they seem to be trying to improve the course conditions they do not seem to care much courtesy and service to their customers. Make a time at your own risk.
Playable but Hot
Summer at Eagle Crest is challenging. The heat and lack of rain make the course a bit hard. That said, the greens were in great condition, sand has been upgraded in many of the bunkers, and the fairways are in decent shape. The course design is moderately difficult but not overwhelming with only a few forced carries. Overall it was enjoyable to play our round.
Good Course in Escondido
Great course! very hot day but loved the course and will play here again.
Thank you so much for your review and 4 star rating! We value your feedback, and hope to see you back soon.
