Located less than an hour east of San Francisco, the Course at Wente Vineyards sprawls across the lush, rolling hills of Livermore Valley. Greg Norman carefully crafted the golf course, creating one of northern California's most challenging layouts. The course incorporates three different landscapes: woodlands, grassy meadows, and mature vineyards. All throughout the golf course though, golfers will be faced with dramatic elevation changes that cause tricky uneven lies but that also means there are panoramic views to be enjoyed on almost every hole. The fairways and landing areas are narrow and require good club management. The prevailing winds add another challenging element to the course. The Course at Wente Vineyards' back nine holes are more demanding with the par 3s being especially memorable. It is a tough but fair round that will reward proper club selection and strategy.

Very nice but…

Very nice but not worth the regular price tag of $150+ if you can get a deal on a tee time take it otherwise their are other courses in the area just as nice or slightly less nice for half the price. For the price they are charging this course should be immaculate and it’s not. The course layout is nice with some interesting holes and some extreme elevation change which makes for great views with vineyards all over, IMO you’re paying for the views on this course rather than the conditions. I would recommend this course if you can find a deal on a tee time otherwise check out other courses in the area.

Fantastic Track!

This course has a tee box for every level. Definitely an interesting layout and will not disappoint! This is definitely a challenging track coming from a plus index person. Love this course and it was a venue for lower level/development tour events!

Beautiful course in excellent condition! Nice amenities.

We played on a Thursday afternoon. The pace was very good.

Good challenges with lots of sand traps. We were very impressed with the driving range , with a practice sand trap, which I’m not sure I’ve seen at any other course.

Can’t wait to play at Wente again!

Wente beautiful morning in well manicure course

The course was in excellent condition, good pace of play, and had great service from the staff at check-in.

Course was in great shape, tons of fun holes with great views. Played twice in the last week, no cart person on the course either time and the snack bar at the turn wasn’t open either time. Both time was told their would be someone on the cart selling snacks/drinks and that the snack bar would be open…. But there was neither

Loved the course. Holes after #3 and before #16 were the best with lots of elevation changes, forced clearances and blind shots. I don’t like “flat” golf courses. This course is perfect for me with some hole exceptions. Outstanding course conditions from tee box to green. Greens were very tricky lots of times with breaks at or near the cup. Really liked the water dispensers positioned on the course. Staff members were very friendly. Hated that the refreshment cart left early because of low amount of golfers playing. Felt for the price of the green fees paid refreshment cart should have stayed until the normal 5:00 PM hour.
