Located less than an hour east of San Francisco, the Course at Wente Vineyards sprawls across the lush, rolling hills of Livermore Valley. Greg Norman carefully crafted the golf course, creating one of northern California's most challenging layouts. The course incorporates three different landscapes: woodlands, grassy meadows, and mature vineyards. All throughout the golf course though, golfers will be faced with dramatic elevation changes that cause tricky uneven lies but that also means there are panoramic views to be enjoyed on almost every hole. The fairways and landing areas are narrow and require good club management. The prevailing winds add another challenging element to the course. The Course at Wente Vineyards' back nine holes are more demanding with the par 3s being especially memorable. It is a tough but fair round that will reward proper club selection and strategy.

Great course... great pace... greens are still being worked on but you couldn't tell by the way they rolled. Super fast, not bumpy. Just little off color. Started at 3:30 and ended by 7:15. Got in all 18 too.

Great course
Have not played here for almost twenty years and the course was in fantastic shape and the greens were very fast. Only negative was the marshall was pushing us but we were at least a hole a head of foursome behind us. We let a group that was faster go through so that was the reason on the clock we were behind.

Fun track
This course is great. The carts are incredibly annoying. Constantly bugging you with messages. Started telling us about having the carts in by 530 at about 4pm with 3 holes to play. The cart literally started beeping a warning in my back swing. For a course this pricey I don't need the cart GPS making noise when I'm trying to play golf.

Afternoon round is great value
Picked a later tee time. Still got full 18 holes in. What’s not to love about this area .. views are breathtaking, holes are fun, and tips are sufficiently challenging.
