The Course at Wente Vineyards

The course condition is well maintained from the rough to fairway. The greens are fast but other golfers please fix your divots. There’s a lot of elevated tee box so you kinda need to adjust your shot. The layout are challenging and a lot of soft white sand bunkers are guarding the fairways and around the green. So this course make you to plans all your shots and if you think you can get to the green think twice.

By far one of the pricey course in the Bay Area but it worth the green fee. The pace of play is a little slower because there’s a lot of people looking for their ball. Also, pack a lot of water since this located deep in Livermore and it can get really hot.

Elevated shots throughout the round and phenomenal conditions for a public track, Wente Vineyards is a fantastic place to play golf.

Going to give another shot during the week. Hopefully pace if play is better, otherwise great course.

Great customer service all around except for angry guy in the food shack. Can do better there!

This is the best golf course in the Eastbay and a tremendous value!

Great Tuesday afternoon tee time on a beautiful sunny day. The restaurant/bar was open and had wi-fi so I was able to work for a while before my round of golf. I was out on the course solo with a cart and the round went pretty smoothly.

Overall the course was in really good condition and the greens were fair (not too slow, not too fast) but there were quite a few I repaired divots that could have been better. The fairways were in really nice condition as well and the rough areas weren’t difficult to get out of.

My chief complaint was the group of 4 guys behind me that were extremely loud and had a speaker playing music at a volume that was disturbing and nothing was done about it and I could hear it from a couple of hundred yards away.

I’d love to play this course again but perhaps a bit earlier in the day to make sure I catch the restaurant before they close at 6pm because all the carts have to be back by 7pm.

Beautiful course. Postcard views. The only issue is having to return the cart by 7:00.

I had family in town and I thought this course would be fun and it looked nice. We got to hole #9 and called in for food and they said the cook was not ready it was 10:30 am. Disappointed. They need to fix that.

Very nice course but a bit pricey and hot in the summer

The Course at Wente is my favorite golf course in our area although the price limits how often I play there. The course was in excellent condition on our date of play (16 Aug 22). There were a couple of aspects that detracted from the experience this time. First, the surrounding vineyards have been set up with loud and irritating bird noises to discourage birds from eating the grapes. I understand why the vineyard management has to do this, but it is irritating for birds and golfers alike. I expect the noise makers are in use only during the time when the birds want to eat the grapes. The second drawback is that the grill and bar closed quite early (3:00 and 5:00 respectively) on the day we played. Finally, the driving range closed at 2:30 which meant we were not able to use it.
